My husband and I decided to have a mini-moon at Mii Amo this past week, and now we are hooked and are planning to go for our 1st anniversary! I have to say the staff, Spa, food, room, and surrounding area were just excellent. A dream come true! Once you arrive, you are greeted by managing resort members, and from there on, you are treated like royalty. They pull all the stops to make you feel welcomed and attended. They even delivered champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries to our room, and other sweets and thoughtful gifts throughout our stay. What was unexpected is the Mii Amo guests that arrive at the same time you do are just as lovely and pleasant (everyone is there for healing and/or relaxing, and their vibe truly reflects that). Therefore, it had a community feel, which was a nice addition to the already loving and welcoming staff. The Spa staff is gifted; my husband came in with horrible hip pain, and one of the male therapists (an older gentleman who also trains other therapists) was able to fix the issue. The nagging hip pain he had been having for months disappeared with one session! The food and wait staff were just amazing! Best food I ever had on a resort! It was delicious, and it wasn't your typical generic meal. The world's most friendly and helpful wait staff work at Mii Amo. Since this was our honeymoon, we decided to take a course on "compassionate communication," and I have to say our relationship was better for it. Honestly, there isn't enough space to name every awesome person and list all the fantastic things about Mii Amo. All I can say is that everyone you meet genuinely cares about your experience, and every person that works on that property is incredibly kind, attentive, and wonderful people. The property itself is well taken care of without overshadowing the land's natural beauty. The only thing they need to work on is booking and billing. When I first booked my stay, it was difficult to get a hold of a "journey guide," and I had to be very persistent in trying to reach one because I know the treatments book up fast. when it came to billing, it was tough for them to explain what was going on and although they tried their best to ameliorate the situation, I had to put on my Finance hat on, which isn't my favorite thing to do on vacation. To their defense, the resort just opened up with new systems and I know there's a learning curve, and everyone is human, so i understand, but I do hope this process gets ironed out soon. All in all, we are so happy we decided on Mii Amo for our first trip as a married couple it was a very special experience and one we will...

We spent Christmas week at Enchantment and scheduled daily treatments at the Mia Amo Spa. The desk attendant at the spa checked me in for my service and commented on my pink colored Fitbit. She had just purchased a Fitbit for her mother. I was hiking every day, and was in a Fitbit challenge. I wore the watch to the treatment room, removing it and placing it in the provided tray, on top of my cell phone. I checked my steps one more time, then I told the therapist that I was in a Fitbit challenge and that I had just turned off my cell phone. After my treatment (body scrub) my watch was gone. The therapist denied that she recalled our conversation about the watch. I refreshed the Fitbit app on my phone. The watch was nearby but not in the room. If the watch is within 20 feet of my cell phone, it will refresh. I got dressed and checked the building. It was not within range in the lobby or in the locker room. I then returned to the treatment area to find the Fitbit was no longer within range. I was told that the therapist had just gone home. I reported this to the front desk at the spa every day for the following three days. The young lady who checked me in verified that I had arrived with the watch. The spa manager failed to contact me after numerous messages were left at the spa desk and via phone. When I complained to someone else at the spa desk on day three, I was told to call security or the police. Immediately upon discovering the theft, I requested that the therapist not receive the 20% tip which is required in advance of the service. They charged the tip against my instructions and the full fee for the service. Upon checking out I reported this to the general manager of the resort. He assured me that the tip would be refunded as well as the spa service charge. The tip, the treatment fees, and the stolen watch were never returned. The cuisine and the spa services were extremely disappointing. We would not return or recommend.

Read moreI stayed at Enchantment but enjoyed the spa, restaurant and amenities at Mii Amo. The good: loved the restaurant, the juice bar, the pool and did a spiritual session with Kim who is absolutely amazing and highly recommend her. Beautiful place and really has everything I want in a wellness spa with other offerings like guided meditation and classes about spiritual interests.
Bad: The reason for not giving 5 stars is the spa. I scheduled an 80 minute massage and if you look at the prices, you should expect it to be the best spa experience youâve ever had. 80 min is $340. My masseuse was friendly and professional but the massage was âokâ at best and Iâm not that hard to please with a massage. Not only that but he only gave me about a 70 minute massage. He ended early and we started a few min late. I didnât realize it until I had my robe back on and left and saw the time, but when I told the front desk about it they offered me a free smoothie. Iâm not sure what I was expecting, and I was trying to be as nice as possible about it but when massages are that expensive you definitely want to get your full 80 minutes and you definitely expect it to be a certain level. Not only that but in addition to the $340 massage fee they tack on $18 for âspa usage feeâ - I had 2 service over $300 each that day and they tacked on 2 $18 âspa usageâ fees. And of course an automatic tip is added on there too ⌠It seems like an easy low hanging fruit would have been to waive both of those fees for the shortcut in minutes. I left feeling like I was being taken advantage of and that âoh itâs just a few minutesâ when Iâm literally paying several dollars per minute..
The person I was traveling with had a GREAT experience and said it was literally the best massage she ever had. So I recommend asking for a more experienced masseuse. But I donât feel like anyone should have to do that, with the level of Mii Amo it really seems like that should be a given. And surely get the minutes...
