My sweet mother has lived here for 3 years now. She has her own room and loves to live at "the yellow place" as she calls it. Lately she has been placed on Hospice care. Sandy and Brandon (owners) are so kind to assist her to age- in- place in her new, beautiful home. I truly believe the entire staff from the owners and administrative staff and the DON to the activities directors, dining room servers and kitchen staff, the med techs, shower aid and the housekeeping and maintenance folks ALL CARE about my mom. They all wave hi and greet her by name with a smile. Amazing! This "village" is encouraged and trained to respect and assist the residents in their new home. It is so obvious to me as I hear and see acts of kindness and compassion when it's not always obvious I'm nearby. "Quality is performed when nobody is around" -Henry Ford. The Vineyard Inn is a very special place. You'll see and feel it when you step inside and see happy family members coming and going from visits with loved ones. You will be assured your loved one is happy and well-cared for from the incredible cleanliness of the place and the teamwork found among the staff. As mom's daughter, I enjoy calling Bingo and helping activities when I can. This is how I get to know the residents...mom's neighbors, and it enriches my visits and helps my shy mother feel comfortable among people. You won't find a better place with a cozy, home-made feel and excellent care. God...
Read moreMy mom was in rehab recuperating from a fracture. She had recovered enough that she didn't need to be in a skilled nursing facility, but she also wasn't ready to go home and live on her own. I proposed an ALF as an interim step (hoping she would love it and want to stay). I only looked at three facilities, but when you know it's right, it's best to trust your instincts. The Vineyard Inn was light and welcoming, the staff friendly and happy, and the residents appeared well cared for. They also have a beautiful garden, which I knew my Mom would love. Long story short, she moved in "temporarily" and within a few days was talking about staying permanently. She LOVES it there. The food is yummy, her room is comfortable, she is enjoying the activities and she's already made some close friends. Special belongings that she could not fit in her room are now a part of the Inn - some items in the garden, others on the walls in the hallways, so wherever she goes, she feels like she's home. She tells everyone how happy she is, and that she didn't know some place like this existed. The positive effect the Inn has had on her also shows in her health; even though she has multiple health problems, she looks and feels better than she has in over a year. Living at the Inn has taken the day to day pressures and stress off of her (and off of us) and she can now simply enjoy life. We are so grateful to Sandy and her...
