I scheduled the sandbar trip with my son and his 4 friends. I wasn’t quite sure how much fun they would have because my son is 19 and his friends range in age from 17 to 22. At this age, young men are harder to impress, so I was just hoping for a nice ride, see some sea life, etc.

Greg had their attention from the time we got on the boat to the time we got off. My son was like a little kid again, on a school field trip, asking questions, and intently listening with an inquisitive spirit that I had not witnessed from him in a long time. Greg’s passion for hospitality in combination with his love of the sea and for people, created an unforgettable experience for all of us. His natural ability to teach and engage everyone was amazing and all the boys loved him. On the way back to our condo the boys were talking about Greg and my son said, verbatim, “He was really good at explaining things so you could understand them”. We all agreed that if more school teachers were like Greg, everyone would love school and get straight A’s!

However, the most amazing part actually came AFTER our boat experience with him. The following day, we had a situation where we needed to seek the opinion of a local. I didn’t really know anyone else, but because of our experience the day before with Greg and how kind he was, I texted him. He not only graciously replied back, but offered to take the situation off our hands, on his own time, so that we could enjoy the rest of our trip! Seriously! I mean, who does that!!?? We ended up getting the situation resolved without Greg‘s help, but just the fact that he was willing to offer to do that spoke volumes about his character. We were so blown away by that.

We honestly cannot recommend this experience enough. People like Greg, unfortunately, are hard to find in this world nowadays. Even if the trip itself had not been as great as it was, I would still highly recommend it just for Greg’s ability to go above and beyond what you pay for. You cannot “buy” integrity, kindness, work ethic, a love for people or a desire to make others happy. Our experience with Greg gave us a little more hope in humanity. 🙏🏼😊

We googled “family friendly activities in Indian Shores” and Sea N Things sounded like a win. I texted the number on the website, and Captain Greg just happened to have availability that same day. In fact, we were on his boat within two hours of contacting him. No regrets! Our family- 6 people ranging from age 7 to 70, all had the time of our lives! This was the best thing we did during our week-long stay at the beach. Captain Greg gave us very clear directions on where to find him- he even had drinks, blankets and some water shoes on board for us. He took us out to the sand bar and showed us how to find and hold each sea creature that we found. He taught us about how and what each creature eats, etc. We found and held sea snails, hermit crabs, sea urchins and more. We also collected many beautiful shells. He was just as enthusiastic as my kids were, each time we picked up something new out of the water. He had everyone actively participating, it was so much fun! In the second half of our private tour, we stopped to watch dolphins swim by the boat. It was just incredible. It’s clear that this is the Captain’s passion, he did not rush us and stayed out quite a bit longer than the two hours. We loved every minute and would definitely do this again. After the ride, Captain Greg recommended his favorite nature park which we enjoyed the next day. We are grateful for this unique...

WOW!!!! Not just one trip but two.

We are so glad we found Captain Greg due to his stellar his reviews and we also had a local personal referral to him His attention to details started with assisting us with planning the best days and time frames to get out on the water. He proactively even suggested different activities that were going on while we were visiting, along with favorite restaurants etc. All of which were excellent.

Our first trip we did the sandbar excursion and God blessed us with dolphins immediately when leaving the docks!! We really enjoyed all the education of the area and the sea creatures we found with the help of Greg and on our own.

Based having such a great experience on our first trip we extended our stay and reached out to Greg and he was able to accommodate us to experience the sunset cruise on his Thanksgiving break. He really cares and made sure the weather would be good by tracking it daily/hourly. This outing was amazing as we witnessed so many dolphins throughout the trip. Sipping on some wine and Sea-N-Things was one of the most relaxing and tranquil parts of our trip. Our family will never forget this experience and make it a staple to every future visit.
