My partner and I found this spa on Groupon for a Valentine’s Day activity which was a great idea! We came from Brandon to do a Float and experience the Ozone Capsule, then we both sat in the Infrared Sauna. I have done a Float at a spa in Sebring so I already had some preconceived notions.
The beginning of my visit began with Jamie showing a whole tour of the facility and all the services they offer. I love a good tour! Jamie is very informative which I can appreciate with my long retail history.
As far as the Float pod, these were my boyfriend’s comments: pod wasn’t 100% dark (where the pod closes there was a slit of light coming through bc the edge of the pod is used to hang your towel) though was very relaxing, he almost slipped while wearing the provided slippers, there was no spray water bottle in the event of getting salt in the eyes, the temperature of the water felt more lukewarm than body temperature which is a primary aspect of doing a float, the shower is across the hall which is needed to wash the salt off though there was no where to place his belongings while showering. Overall, he was very happy with the float and would do it again!
I found the Ozone Capsule jets to be too hard on the body, almost to the point where it hurt my skin. Your head sticks out, which makes sense because you’re not supposed to inhale a lot of O2 which is inside the capsule, but I was under the impression that my whole body would go in the capsule lol. When turning on the water at the beginning of the session, it is freezing cold and shocks the body, then the hot water has to be manually adjusted by an associate. To be frank, I wouldn’t use the Ozone Capsule again because I didn’t find it much relaxing. What attracted me to the Capsule was it’s shape and water feature. I truly thought it was going to be a cocoon with gentle water and steam, but I’m still glad to have experienced it!
After our sessions, my boyfriend and I sat in the Infrared Sauna for 30 minutes and WoW it was amazing!! Our first infrared saunas experience was a little different because we went to Sweatology in Tampa, but this sauna at Vitality was exactly what we were looking for! It a small sauna big enough for 2 people, very cozy and you start sweating fairly quickly. I believe you can play music in there with its own system but we didn’t know how to. I think that should be spoken about more to enhance the relaxing factor of the sauna. You can bring your phone in there and play your own music, but I wouldn’t recommend heating up your phone like that.
The bathrooms were very, very nice. Chic, nice bathroom design, tiny, but great use of space Chefs kiss
In conclusion, we loved the space and will be going back. They offer a membership which I will be looking into even though they are 45 minutes away for me. Great facility!
Tiny details: giving a complimentary water bottle at the beginning of the visit, especially for the sauna and float pod, shower being across hall but there is a...
Read moreThe staff and facility were great. I booked my very first float here and was escorted to a private room with a shower. One improvement I would request and might already be available, is the ability to turn down the music. You can turn it off or on but it felt too loud when it was on for me personally, even with the provided ear plugs.
The following information pertains to my experience floating and is in no way a reflection of the business but might be helpful for other first time floaters:
I booked an hour session as I'd heard from others it can take nearly 30 min to fully adjust to the buoyancy and environment. Unfortunately, barely 20 min in I started to feel "off". This "off" feeling progressed into what I would describe as motion sickness which was confusing because nothing was moving. Apparently this is fairly common for first time floaters for various reasons according to Dr. Google, but wasn't something I came across when I was looking into floating for the first time. I will say I am sensitive to motion sickness so this may not apply to most floaters. I am glad I tried it but I personally would not float again. Don't let this discourage you, just be informed so you can plan accordingly. This location offers many other modalities that I'd like to try and I look forward to...
Read moreThis place is Amazing! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They do a thorough job explaining any and all service(s) you are interested in exploring. The variety of bio-hacking treatments available there are plentiful and some are not found in one place like at Vitality. So far I’ve tried: Red Light Therapy, Infrared Sauna, Bio-Charger, Salt Room, Ice Bath, and the PEMF machine. All of these therapies help in many different ways. My favorite is the PEMF machine. I came in after injuring my right forearm, it was swollen and instantly bruised after getting a backpack caught on door know while I rushed passed. It was so bad I couldn’t really use my fingers. Luckily I had my first appointment scheduled later that day. They placed the PEMF paddles on my forearm and after the treatment my fingers were fully functional. The swelling went down and the bruising subsided. It blew my mind! I highly recommend this place if one’s interested in maintaining their viability while they age. I sell Medicare and I have a lot of clients who are curious about alternatives for maintaining their health as they age. This is well worth a tour and trial. This place is also cost competitive compared to other...
