Mimi's On Main — Local services in Senatobia

I had a really disappointing experience at this store. While browsing laundry detergents, I briefly opened one to smell it before deciding which one to buy. There were no signs anywhere saying this wasn’t allowed, and a store employee even came over and spoke with us while we were looking — but didn’t mention anything about not opening the products.

After choosing a different detergent and heading to the checkout, I was told I had to purchase the one I had smelled. I explained that I hadn’t used or damaged it and that nothing indicated it couldn’t be opened. Still, they insisted I buy it — and it was ridiculously overpriced (over $100).

I politely asked if they could offer a discount since I had no intention of buying it and was unaware of any policy — they refused. I then asked to speak to a manager, and they flat-out told me no. The whole interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional.
