Some of the guys a great, although there are a couple employees that just shake you down and are disrespectful in the process. I've brought in blu ray movies to sell, and was accused of stealing them, but he offered me $60. I brought in a nearly brand new $200 calculator, the guy offered me $15. I asked for $20 and he pushed it across the table and said good luck. Like I said, other times my experience selling goods has been fair and actually enjoyable but most of the time, they try to shake you down. So, I started going to PawnExchange, over on Canterbury. They gave me $40 for the calculator, and $120 for the Blu-Ray movies. Apparently to excel pawn having two of the same movie makes me thief. Telling you, go to Pawn Exchange. If anything, they will give you $5 more than excel just to keep ur business, plus the guys a great and we always have a laugh when I go in. They'll show you exactly why they came to the price as well, they go by amazon and are extremely fair when it comes to selling to a middleman. PAWN...
Read moreHonestly it’s a pawn shop. And 7/8 of my visits were acceptable. I did however have one jack rabbit tell me that you couldn’t measure resistance in ohms on a subwoofer with a digital multimeter because the suns weren’t hooked up to an amp. Which ok maybe a pawn shop guy just doesn’t know that’s dead wrong. But when I offered to show him how he got all offended and told me that he KNEW it wasn’t possible because he had studied “electricity”. Trying his hardest to make me seem like an idiot. His stooge of a buddy even laughed a bit. Morons lost a sale and had no idea that they were speaking to an electrical engineer.
Other than that experience. It was fine. Maybe that dudes been fired cuz I haven’t seen him lately. I go there to shop only. Never pawned anything in my life. But, it’s a pawn shop! Honestly though I prefer Pawnxchange or whatever over by Canterbury. Those guys are super nice and...
Read moreI have been to this place about a dozen times, every time I have stopped the tall goon behind the counter with the pierced eyebrow talks to you like your an idiot. Prices are barely under retail and customer service is horrible. Because of the convenient location to my house I have walked through these doors more than I should. After being treated like an idiot asking if they would sell a lot of dewalt tools individually today was the last straw. I would not recommend anyone doing business at this subpar establishment. Fire the dork with the pierced eyebrow and change your prices to reflect pawn shop prices and not retail and maybe you wouldn’t have the same paddle board sitting in the window for two years....
