So I continue to search for good Mexican Restaurants, and today I found one with great food and salsa that has a great kick. This place is a bit out of the way but definitely worth trying out. Staff is very friendly, walked in and was greeted and asked if any questions about the menu. Ordered at the counter and then found a table. Food came out pretty quickly and was a good temperature. What we ordered: Huaraches Al Pastor (diced pork chop and chorizo) Mix of tacos (Al pastor and grilled beef) Burrito (they used a burger and chopped it up for my daughter since they don't do ground beef.) The Huaraches had great flavor. Not an entree I had previously had but the beans in the tortilla and the mix of toppings made a great combination. The green and red salsas were outstanding. The tacos were very tasty and came with rice and beans. The burrito came with fries since they made it a kids meal for us. Drinks were Guava and Apple soda and a mango smoothie. Will definately be back.

Probably the best mexican food i've had in minnesota, I was super impressed. Everything was super fresh and everything looked and tasted homemade, nothing was over seasoned or over sauced, the ingredients just spoke for themselves and were really good. What impressed me the most was that you have to wait for the horchata with the rest of your meal, and the large size is huge, and when i tasted it i could immediately tell it was homemade, super nice sweetness but not cloying and with a good but not overpowering cinnamon taste, after my meal i asked the woman at the counter and she confirmed it was homemade and you could taste it with everything, and if they're making their own horchata they're more than likely making their own everything. This place is really humble with a lot to be proud of, I'll definitely be here again.

This place is amazing. I ordered for delivery through Uber Eats from my workplace, and my order actually got delayed because the driver STOLE MY ORDER... not the restaurants fault. They called me and we got everything worked out, the second delivery driver delivered with care. But once i had my food i was so happy. Not only did it look super nice but it tasted heavenly. The tacos were so flavorful, they didnt skimp on the limes either (i already squeezed them all before the picture)but the guac was so fresh, and plenty of chips. And the churros were so fluffy and crispy at the same time! I definitely want to make a trip in person sometime soon. 10/10 thank you

The reviews looked so promising! (See the Owner's bitter reply, at least something has flavor!) Sadly, nowhere even close! BLAND! See..."bland". You should not need 2 tiny salsa's to improve the baseless flavor. We ordered the Carnitas Huarache and Carne Asada Burrito. Overpriced? Absolutely, for sure! Menu charging $5 for chips and tiny salsas? Nothing but plastic offered, no napkins in sight. The restaurant & restrooms were dirty and nothing worked. The service was minimal at best. If this is considered the "best authentic Mexican food" in Shakopee... You might be way happier taking a road trip!!

Here's the thing... Look at the owner's response. Look at ALL the ownership responses to all the reviews , good and horrible Brilliant or Bitter taste!! And not from the food at El Huarache, (bland), but from the owner! Using a coupon is Your strategy to get me in your door. Why would you try to shame me because I used the coupon You paid to have placed? Dirty tables, just a mess! Don't waste your time or money here at this mistake, go somewhere good! (Don Ramon's... right down...

This is what I'd call a hidden gem in Western Shakopee. If you drove by it, you may not even notice it. It's understated and unassuming. However, if you fancy authentic Mexican food in a casual environment, then El Hauranche is perfect. The food was exceptional. Everything we ate was scrumptious to the max. The service was good too with friendly staff who offered excellent recommendations for us not having been there before.

It won't be long before we return.

A note... when we arrived, the parking lot appeared empty which gave us pause, but with the incredibly high reviews that others before us gave, we went on in. There were no other guests present, so still a bit concerning. We pressed on. After receiving our food, the place began to fill up. So, don't let that sway you trying this awesome food find. You will...
