I love Aldi's. All the major supermarkets like Target and Giant Eagle in my area are extremely overpriced. All they do is try to satisfy their investors at the working class people's expense. I have for Aldi's within driving distance from me. They are super efficient. You can find healthy food there. They do it by specializing on specific products and staying within their circle. I see their marketing style. Today's people are not worried about how well the floors are polished or how fancy the products are presented and the music that's playing. These major superstores have no business getting rid of cashiers. Now Aldi's it makes sense because it's directly reflected into the price. I can go on forever. But I maintain all my recipes and I cook all my meals. And I'm healthy. Everything from turmeric tea and ginger for my health to some natural products. I shop there first and then I go down the line. Superstores are my last choice. Yes they have a few spices and a selection of specialty products that I depend on. But the minute I find a mom and pop and I can order off Amazon. I will I cut my cost of living 33% by being an educated consumer. Thank you Aldi's for being a part of American...
Read moreI can't recommend picking up at curbside at the Shaler Aldi. I drove down to Aldi and spent time/gas/money on a bad experience. The worker said "you want to help me with this?" as they opened my trunk and in a demanding voice and demeanor that conveyed that they were angry at the world today. A simple "please" would have made all the difference. I'm all for helping though knowing how difficult loading the order in the car could be. I noticed the order was wrong after I started to help. I let the associate know and they removed the items from my trunk and walked away without a word. I said thank you as they walked away with a scowl on their face and I not even knowing if they would be cancelling the order or if I would need to cancel it. They walked away so fast I didn't even get a chance to give them a tip or advice. I don't think I will try curbside pickup again any time soon. I might wait until I'm having a really bad day before shopping at Aldi so that my interactions with their associates can't make my...
Read moreI was disgusted with the rudeness of the checkout clerk whose name was Debbie. I watched her tossing the items into an elderly person's cart as if they were bricks, not caring about damage to the items. Then when I submitted my $4.00 item for return, she rudely remarked that I am always returning something, even though I purchase approximately $100 worth of items weekly between 3 Aldi's stores in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. I had not been in the Etna Shaler Plaza store in over 4 months, however she found it necessary to be rude, loud and obnoxious declaring that I return too many items, even though I always have my receipt for the returned item and the reason for the return.
I can assure Aldi's that I will continue shopping at other locations, but I will NEVER do business at the Etna Shaler...
