Planet Fitness — Local services in Shaler Township

This is not a judgment free zone. I had the worst experience with shaler planet fitness. The staff from 2 days ago were terrible. I took my autistic client to the gym per his request. When we arrived we were not greeted while my individual has a sensory issue he carries his vape around never used it in the gym he knows not to indoors. He wanted to try out some equipment. He is new to the gym. The staff were at the desk laughing and watching our every move. We were there maybe 20 minutes. When were going to leave the staff stopped us and told us that she was watching and that he couldn't vape in the gym which he never did and that I couldn't come to the gym in crocks and that we didn't wipe down the equipment. We carried our own wipes and hand sanitizer but she never said anything to the other people in the gym not wiping equipment down. She proceeded to say say this is your warning and it's not acceptable at the gym. I told her that my client was autistic and that he was new to going to the gym she still said this is your warning and was very rude. So not only did they make fun of my autistic client she upset him and made him feel like he was in trouble. I will never bring any of my clients back to...

Just got home working out here. Not one staff member was anywhere to be found the entire time I was there from midnight to 1am. I was hoping to use the massage chair afterwards. Watched multiple people come and leave after standing at the front counter for a long time. Assuming someone didn't show up for work and the previous shift wasn't sticking around to wait. Obviously a management issue. Someone doesn't value their job.

Also want to echo the comments below about CNN and Fox news. That trash is toxic. Going to the gym should be a reprieve.

EDIT: it's been nearly a month and the staffing issue seems to be resolved now so I'm adding a star. However, the CNN and Fox news is not going away. Even the employees are annoyed by it. They don't have the ability to change the channels so you're literally forced to watch.

I love this location because it’s updated and closest to me however It’s always so hot in this gym, they need to have either the air on or more fans because even though i like to get a sweat going, i feel like I am going to pass out when I am in this location because of how warm they keep it. Also they have way too many elipiticals. I wish they had other machines that other Planet Fitness’s have like the arc climber machine. The gym is really clean and the workers are friendly. I also love the updated machines. I normally go to Edgewood more so because they have the arc climber machine and mostly because they keep it MUCH cooler. It takes me 10 mins to get to butler street and 30 mins to get to Edgewood. Just my opinions, i still like the location. I just wish they got my favorite machine in there like all the other...
