My wife and I recently had the pleasure of adopting a kitten from Viva Rescue, and we couldn't be happier with the entire process. Recommended by my sister-in-law, Viva Rescue stood out from the start.

Firstly, the option to put our names on a waitlist for the specific kitten we fell in love with was a game-changer. It ensured that we could bring home the furry friend we had our hearts set on, making the adoption process more personal and special.

The thoroughness of Viva Rescue in ensuring the health and well-being of their animals stood out. Our kitten came with all vaccinations, and while there were a few that required follow-up appointments, the transparency about this allowed us to plan accordingly for our new family member's care.

One aspect that truly impressed us was their flexibility regarding neutering. While there was a month-long wait if we opted for their partners to handle the procedure, we were given the option to take care of it ourselves and bring our kitten home earlier, just in time for Christmas. The fact that they entrusted us with this responsibility showed a level of respect and confidence that added to the positive experience.

Moreover, the adoption fee being waived because we chose to handle the neutering independently was an unexpected and appreciated bonus. It reflected Viva Rescue's commitment to encouraging responsible pet ownership.

The questionnaire/application process was another noteworthy aspect of our experience. It demonstrated their dedication to ensuring their animals go to loving and suitable homes, creating a sense of reassurance for us as adopters.

I have been a volunteer with Viva Rescue for a couple months now and not only have I learned so much, but the owners, Maya and Kalli, make me feel very welcomed every time I walk in the sanctuary or reach out. Learning about the work they do to rescue all types of animals from wildfires, shelters, environments where the necessary care wasn’t met, etc. absolutely amazes to me. Seeing people so dedicated to the welfare and happiness of these animals is so heartwarming as well.

I have been able to work/spend time with each of the animals they have whether it ranges from horses and goats, chickens and pigs, or sheep and rescue cats. And more! I have been able to learn the backgrounds of all these different animals and follow along with how far they have come because of the dedication of Viva Rescue’s owners, volunteers, and supporters. We have just homed an abandoned puppy. He’s the sweetest and most adorable thing ever ❤️ Since the holidays are here and life is always changing, starting out with a new pup is difficult. I refused to put him in the shelter & Viva Rescue Inc helped us tremendously getting our feet on the ground for the next month ! This organization was such a blessing and they gave me tips on good local resources that brought me comfort and helped me find the support my furbaby needed. I am beyond grateful for them, and will forever recommend them for anyone in a tight situation. With their help I can focus on his medical care and not stress over food etc. If you or anyone is struggling and needs a little extra help to get them up and running , this organization is the best place!
