Truly I wish I could give negative stars. My boyfriend and I went up here looking to sell our Pokémon cards. Right off the bat the guy who was there told us they don’t really have a base for Pokémon. To us this was a good sign that we’d get our moneys worth out of our cards. This first guy was polite and understanding. Unfortunately, the day we went wasn’t a good day, we had to leave our cards over the course of a couple of days so that the owner could look at them and price them. Okay, sure that makes sense it was a busy day and the owner wasn’t there. We left 64 cards with this store on a Saturday, we were told we’d get a call first thing on Monday, my boyfriend left his name and phone number. Come Tuesday, we have heard nothing. My boyfriend goes up there after work to see what’s going on. The owner was there, he tells my boyfriend he’ll give him $20 for his cards. $20. For 64 cards, some of which are worth WAY more than $20. He then proceeds to tell him that he already sold two of his cards. I’m sorry what? You already sold two cards from the 64 we brought you? Cards that weren’t yours to sell? Cards that you had no idea of you were even going to get from us? Are you serious? Then he decides to kick out my boyfriend for soliciting because he was talking to another Pokémon lover about his cards. What? You’re a card game shop? You run events like that, how are you going to say that he was soliciting when he was just talking about cards? Were you butt hurt that he didn’t sell you his cards? Were you scared he was going to do something because you stole and sold his property? Do better. Don’t go...

Read moreI've been a frequent customer of Derby Comics and Games for about 9 months now, and this is my favorite shop in town (not that there's much competition) Not only do they have a wonderful selection of games, comics, paints, and miniature figures, they also have an incredible welcoming atmosphere. Tony knows pretty much all his customers by name and finds the time to talk to everyone that enters the store, and if not Tony then one of the other owners will do the same. They advertise as LGBTQ+ friendly and it's correct, with getting games geared towards the community and organizing events for us, I've never felt so welcomed in a store before. I will definitely continue to be a frequent customer for as long as Derby is there, I can't wait to see the store continue to...
