Hi, my name is Rose, and I am letting people know the situation I had to deal with for almost 12 days trying to get my money back for the cpr class from Brenda at the crisis center. I have pics of text messages, too. On October 11, I reached out to Jessica for a partial refund as the rescheduled class my husband was out of town for. She said no problem texted Brenda, who said she would have a check ready the next day. That never happened. Then, the class was canceled again. Totally understand schedule conflicts. I reached our to Jessica again and let her know because we needed these for our work we had a timline of which to complete by and it would not work for us any longer and if I could have it all back. Again, I told her it should not be an issue but never heard back. I am told Brenda handles the cash app, and Jessica does not have access to it. That Brenda does not know how to do this. I also have text messages. So yesterday, on one of Brenda's posts, I commented that I felt like my money was being stolen. Then Brenda messages saying I am being harsh, saying someone is stealing. She blames everything on Jessica and says she didn't remind her. I asked her did you need to be asked more than once? Was it really someone else's job to remind you? To which she states yes. I ran a company for over ten years! I would never blame an employee for my mistake. Now Brenda is threatening to sue me for slander all because I wanted my money back. I haven't lived in Shepherd Long, but I won't be a part of this center. Then Brenda then told me yesterday that she would refund me my money by the end of the day. Surprise, it's this am, and still nothing except a message from her that I can go to the board meeting. Why is it so hard to get my money back. Then, when I finally threaten to make a theft report on the cash app, suddenly, she instantly refunds the money. I can see this women knows a lot of people, and that's needed for the community, but this is totally unacceptable. I am sorry to introduce myself this way and would be happy to provide the pics of our conversation and the one Jessica had with her as well. Thanks for your time in this matter again. I'm sorry to bother you. I also want to point out that we donated to that bake sale and stayed all fay minus taking a lunch. Helped move furniture back inside after. Then we also came and cut down the fallen limbs at the crisis center only to be threatened by Brenda for wanting our money back that wasn't donated that was paid on top of the donation and bread donation. I feel very taken advantage of when I really just wanted to be a part of something I thought was a good idea. Now, I will be warning people so they don't have to go through...
