I really enjoyed living at Shrewsbury commons. I was hesitant by the reviews, but I had a good experience. It is a friendly family community, a good amount of Indian families live there. I always felt safe and everyone was kind and helpful who loved there.I was in building 60, I was always able to park, there are two stairways and one small elevator. Laundry was on the bottom with 5 washers and 5 dryers. Laundry room and building was kept clean. I had a huge 1 bedroom apartment. Two huge closets in the bedroom, two good size utility closets in the hall. Bathroom had two sinks and good underneath storage. I never saw any bugs or critters in my apartment or building while I lived there. There are two pools, a tennis court, and small equipment room I take one star away because the front office isn't the greatest. Before moving in Stacy was answering my questions via email she even left the key in a key box for me because I got in after hours. After that it was hard to reach anyone via phone or email. I made one very minor maintenance request and it wasn't addressed until I submitted my initial move in form. When moving out I tried emailing and calling and I couldn't get anyone. Also there is only one garbage compactor by the office, which means you have to walk to dispose of your trash, it would be more convenient to have at each building, Lastly our apartment initially had a smell but with airing out the apartment and candles it was fine Overall I would definitely recommend this apartment complex! I am shocked with the negative reviews given to this community. We lived at commons for a year. Work brought us to Austin.Had it not been for work, we would never consider moving out of this place.I also know a lot of families who have been there for ages now . The community was always very well maintained. I had zero complaints about the maintenance . I suggest the management to request all the community people to provide their honest reviews about their experiences. Not many would consider giving reviews when everything is going smoothly. Google review forms the face of any community and right now here in Austin, our community has 4.7 stars despite of having few flaws. Commons will always have a special place in our Hearts and this beautiful place deserves...

Management here is all fraud. they will make sure that you feel cheated.

the elevator maintenance in my building 40 went was said to take 4 to 6 weeks which kept of going for 3 months. This caused immense trouble to us, specially my wife was sick and was advised by doctors not to take steps. I requested the office staff to shift us to some apartment at the ground floor which they denied without considering anything. my wife was forced to take steps in absence of elevator due which her condition worsen and she her spine injury got severe. no one bothers for this in office staff. office staff even promised for discount for the inconvenience cause but they don’t even reply emails now.
