I am leaving only one star , if there was an option for zero stars I would have left that! In January of 2021 my sister had a cataract removal on a healthy eye, confirmed by Dr. Jill Knuzman and surgeon Dr. Elise Int' Veld, from Ophthalmology LTD. During surgery, Dr. Int' Veld severely compromised my sister's eye resulting in a botched cataract removal. That was only the beginning of a horrendous ordeal that would continue well into 2024. My sister put her trust in Dr. Knuzman to give her the best care possible, especially knowing the damage that had been done during her cataract removal. At each eye appointment she was told her eye was fine, nothing to worry about. Unfortunately, my sister's faith and trust in her own doctor was misplaced. In October of 2023, my sister called Sibley Eye Care to see Dr. Knuzman, as the vision in her damaged eye was diminishing. She was put on a 6 month waiting list, even after she told the receptionist that her vision was getting really bad. She got in after 5 months because of a cancellation. You would think that my sisters situation would have taken precedence because of the history with her eye, but it did not! She should have been seen immediately. Evidently she was no more important to them than a routine eye exam patient. When my sister came in for her long awaited appointment, she was asked if she would like an optional scan to detect glaucoma and macular degeneration (it runs in our family) so of course she wanted to have the scan. Why wouldn't Dr. Knuzman have been doing this scan routinely as she knew both diseases ran in our family and it was the only way to see what was going on at the back of the eye. If she would have been doing this scan from the beginning she would have detected the problems behind my sister's eye, action could have been taken almost from the very beginning. Instead she told my sister for two years that her eye was fine, when it wasn't. When Knuzman looked at the scan she said she might have not detected the problems without the scan. WHY WASN'T SHE DOING THIS SCAN AT EACH APPOINTMENT! She didn't even initiate this one, the receptionist did! She just let my sister's vision deteriorate. After seeing the mess my sister's eye was in she said some Eye Tylenol should take care of it! This is a licensed doctor; are you kidding me! An appointment was made at Vance Thompson Vision. Never again, Ophthalmology LTD. On March 20 and 21, 2024, with three doctors coming to the same conclusion after reviewing their findings, my sister's eye had been leaking gel soon after the 2021 botched surgery, undetected due to Knuzman's negligence in providing sufficient eye exams. My sister had two surgeons to correct the damage done by these two women; one for the front of the eye and one for the back of the eye. SO MUCH FOR EYE TYLENOL!! The stress over this long period of time for my sister has been overwhelming. Not knowing what the outcome would be; a detached retina or even blindness all because of Int' Veld's surgical error and Knuzman's negligent care of my sister's vision. These two women are responsible for the stress, fear, discomfort and the quality of her life over these past years. Thankfully, two weeks ago, my sister's vision report was as such she doesn't need to see the doctors at Vance Thompson Vision for six months. They saved her vision! Obviously, my sister will no longer be a patient of Dr. Jill Knuzman! One last remark. To Miss Chairside. Never, ever call a patient a NERVOUS NELLIE and make light of someone else's fears the way you did to my sister! Her fears were absolutely justified! If you can't have empathy for another person, you don't belong in the care giving field....

This Dr jill is a quack we were referd to this location to have my son get therapy to strengthen his eye muscles for a wondering eye. Instead she hands my husband sheets suggeting my son has retained infant relexes ( he is five, very active has met every milestone and recives regular care from a MD) she suggested ocupational therapy for theses reflexes, costing $75 per session. With up to 46 sessions to show improvment in these reflexes. Im a nurse and have a additional degree in healthcare managment.. not of the above mentioned therapy sessions have anything to do with strengthening his eye muscles to correct the weak muscles pulling his eye out of alignment. We will definitly be filing a complaint. And seeking out a more qualified...
