If you plan on coming to this joke of a fair, know that tickets for the concerts are a joke and don't mean anything. It's just a way for them to trick you into paying for something you really shouldn't have to pay for. I drove from Columbus, Ohio to see Dylan Scott and the website said these were track seats next to the stage and if I wanted grandstand, they were free. So I paid the $5 dollars for the track seats. If I knew tickets didn't mean anything, I would just made sure I was by the front of the stage so I could have had better seats than what I paid. Like I said, we drove 2 hrs and bought 4 tickets to have reserved seats to see Dylan Scott, only to find that ppl who didn't even pay rushed the stage and got all the free stuff the band threw to the crowd. I know there are many others who paid and feel what happened was not fair since we ACTUALLY paid money to be closer. I would have appreciated a refund of the $20 I paid, but when I wrote and asked the county fair board, I was just ignored. What a bunch of crooks! I guess this is how shows there are ran, but I was very unhappy. Other ppl had jumped rows and made our seat area very crowded and my sister kept getting shoved and I had seen the ppl in front of me almost have to get physical with some kids that would not give him, his wife and 2 kids their seats back. I had thought it was going to be in grandstand hence 'Track Seats'. I work 8-10 hr days and I really don't have time to mess with this anymore. I was very disappointed and if I had known that's how things are run at this fair, I wouldn't have reserved seats and just did what everyone in the 'Grandstand' did and rush the stage and crowd the people that were dumb enough to pay for the shittier seats. If they try to sell tickets next year, know it's just to see if ppl are gulliable to just throw away money. Do what everyone else did. Don't pay and as soon as the performer comes out, rush the stage. Don't worry, Security doesn't care and will let you. Like I said this fair is a joke and if they would have fulfilled my request of refunding me my $20, I would have at least gave them the credit of meaning well, but instead they are crooks and very dishonest people. Glad my county fair isn't this conniving and deceitful! JUST BEWARE IF YOU GO TO CONCERTS AT THIS FAIR, THEY CANNOT...
Read moreLove going to the county fair but it has gotten ran down and very expensive $10to get in and wouldn't mind if there was more Community involvement most people don't want to spend $10 again to the county fair it is a shame that's a fair week confleOhio State Fair so the dairy kids are only there for one day be nice for the prices to go down and see the dairy kids there for the week it cost to much for a fair price as well I hope someday these things get fixed so the kids can be involved in both the county as well as the State Fair not enough room and the quality of things have went down you can't even get a fair book before the fair a shelby county souvenir if we get one it will come off a slow boat from China. Why are they so slow ? Why because the fair board member in charge of the fair book doesn't care about the fair . This is why we don't havstill no fair books Still no fair books the fair board said there would be fair books there's nothing there they lied. Just like last year no fair books tell the last minute. They actually pay some one to print the fair book and it still doesn't matter it's still late. Plus they pay them quite a bit with litter...
Read moreAttended the Shelby County Fair for the first time in a very long time. Always a good fair and fairgrounds minus the lack of parking however we were lucky to find a spot across from the main entrance. The demolition derby was a little slow with 2 cars in the first heat. The remaining heats really picked up and fulfilled our destructive desires. There were so many eateries to choose from and as a result we ate pretty decent food. Plenty of kid rides and our son enjoyed the coaster and super slide rides the most. Overall we had a nice time and...
