I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt that I should do this for future brides. I made an appointment to try on bridal gowns at this location a few weeks in advance. I arrived with five of my closest gals to share this experience with me. Upon arrival, my stylist was 15 minutes late, and no other employees attempted to give me much information, help me select dresses, or get seated to wait.
Once the stylist finally arrived, she hadn't reviewed any of my notes/preferences from the pre-appointment questionnaire, so we were mostly starting from scratch. I showed her more pictures and described what I was looking for in a dress, and let her know that I felt overwhelmed with the selection and would like her to try and pull some dresses initially. She tried to find some that she thought I may like, but I ended up finding most of them (not as much of a big deal).
Once we were ready to try on, they attempted to have me and my party share a bridal stage with another bride and her party. Myself and the other bride were clearly uncomfortable with this. They also did not have enough of the nice cushion chairs available, and brought out metal fold out chairs for my party to sit on directly next to the other bride's party. We expressed our discomfort, but the staff did not have any solutions or try to do anything to improve the situation. One of my bridesmaids pointed out that the other bridal stage was not in use, so we asked if we could just move to the other stage. The staff claimed that other brides had appointments after me and that was reserved for them. However, after a few more minutes, the staff finally agreed to move us to the other stage.
To add to the frustration, the stylist seemed to not know where dresses in the inventory were, so it took nearly 15 minutes for the dresses to be pulled. Finally, I began trying on dresses. All but one of the dresses that the stylist pulled were too small. The standard practice almost anywhere else is to pull larger sizes so the dress can be clipped back to fit properly. I'm not sure if it is because bigger sizes were unavailable, but she never said anything. Additionally, my bridesmaid did all of the buttoning and zipping and fluffing of the dress. The stylist had disappeared multiple times. We thought she may be pulling additional dresses based on what I said I liked/disliked about the dresses I had tried on, but not once did she pull an additional dress or make suggestions for appliques, sleeves, etc.
Overall, while this store offered a good selection of beautiful dresses within budget, the store employees absolutely ruined the experience and any chance of me...
Read moreEDIT TO ADD: I HAVE NEVER COME BACK TO EDIT A REVIEW BEFORE. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!!!!! I regret even thinking that Heather & the David's Bridal crew would have us taken care of for this wedding. My dress arrived TODAY for a wedding that was this past Saturday. Every time I called, they would convince me that it was squared away & they were doing everything in their power to fix this MESS. EVERYTHING from the fitting all the way down to the shipments was a COMPLETE DISASTER! Will NEVER EVER use David's Bridal & would strongly encourage everyone else to find somewhere else to spend their hard-earned dollars. THIS IS A CIRCUS. First: I went there to get fitted for a bride's maid dress(my size never made it to the computer- found out when I called order it) Then: my dress came in too small (someone guessed my size obv)& I was told they couldn't ship my dress when I live out of state. Then: I was told a dress that was 4 sizes too big would be shipped next day to me + full refund so I could use the funds to get this dress altered. dress didn't arrive. When I called the following week to check on shipment they had no tracking number, told me it was shipped to the wrong store (when it was supposed to be shipped to my address) that shipment got cancelled. Finally, a week before the wedding-no time to get anything altered but was told shipment had come in with my size dress & it would be next day aired to me. That was on a Wednesday. The wedding was Saturday. Heather got the address wrong after I confirmed it a million times with her. Still no tracking number & didn't even have the courtesy to call me back. Did I mention this dress was ordered back in JULY?!
I'm leaving this review because I didn't know how else to thank the manager, Heather for showing EXCEPTIONAL customer service. We had a mixup with an order for a wedding that is NEXT WEEK and she went above and beyond to help us out. She was informative and showed compassion in a very stressful situation. EVERYONE needs a Heather at their establishment as she is the epitome of over the top...
Read moreI was extremely disappointed in my experience this past Saturday, March 22. I checked in with Jeff at the table upon walking in. He was pleasant and welcoming. I was on time for my appointment. There was a bride that checked in after me, but somehow she was assigned a stylist right away. I had to wait a few minutes. When I was finally assigned a stylist, she was completely unprepared. Her name is Liz, and she asked me questions I had already completed online regarding what style I was looking for and my budget. She said her ipad/tablet was slow. It took her a while to pull up my assessment. She then showed my best friend and I what section to look in to find dresses within my budget. She pretty much left us to look on our own which defeats the purpose of a personal stylist. She disappeared a couple of times during my appointment. I was extremely annoyed. Once I did reluctantly select 5 dresses, she showed me on stage which fitting room I was assigned to. Well there were two other brides with big parties sharing that same space. They took every seat except one. I requested a different fitting room off stage, and Liz accommodated my request. I used the fitting room to the right of the stage. None of the dresses were a good fit. My best friend was there more than Liz to assist with zipping up dresses. Liz made a point to remind me I can only try on the 5 dresses. I was well aware my appointment was for an hour. That was not necessary. I left early, upset, and disappointed with the entire experience. I went to Bliss Boutique without an appointment, and I was assigned a stylist immediately. She never left my side, and she was there to zip up and clip all the dresses to fit, so I can see what the dress will look like after alterations. I was not limited to five dresses either. My stylist was pulling dresses for me to try on, while I was in the fitting room. That's what I expected from you...
