Wonderful experience! Great customer service during reservation, checking in, and checking out. Didn’t have to do a lot of waiting around on either end of our trip which is AMAZING. Lenny who checked us in was so cool, patient, explained everything we needed to know about the River complete with good explanatory pictures and all, and he even tolerated my shenanigans very well. Canoe trip was a lot of fun (although my husband and his buddy flipped 3 times and swam more than they canoed ;)) They were expecting us coming back due to their incredibly efficient business model, and were already out back with our keys when the van pulled in. We were able to just jump off the van and go. Would totally come back, and probably will! Literally the only recommendation I have is to either ask van passengers to mask out and back for drop off and pick up, or offer those uncomfortable with riding with unmasked patrons a separate, fully masked, ride. About the River: clean, clear, plenty of stop offs for picnics, swimming, and rope swinging! At the time of our trip (mid August) the water temp was PERFECT - both comfortable and refreshing!

We came here for a tubing trip during a holiday weekend. Not to repeat what everyone else is saying, but the first thing I noticed was how incredibly nice everyone on staff was. They did great at explaining the trip to us and let us know everything to expect. The pricing is pretty great and I feel like we got great value out of what we paid. The 4 hour trip was closer to 3 hours, but they may have been because some of the rapids being faster than usual. I don’t really know how that works. My ONE peeve, and it is one that was not worth taking a star away, is that CC will not provide you will a paddle if you use the tubes. There was a couple of points in the river where we just could not get on the right side of the path, getting too close to the edges, being forced to deal with a lot of debris and bugs. It would have been a lot easier on us if we had been given even one paddle. We even had brought out own cables/ropes to attach our tubes and I would have been willing to pay for a paddle in the unlikely event that we ended up losing it. In the future, we know to come prepared, and to bring a paddle of our own with us.

My wife and I were in the area to do some hiking and see waterfalls, but also wanted to canoe or kayak the Delaware River. Chamberlain Canoes was recommended to us by a local establishment. What a great recommendation!

Brad and Jane were very welcoming and personable. They explained what we were about to experience very thoroughly, provided a detailed map, including special sights to look for (we saw the eagles!), and clear instructions. We decided on the 16 mi trip and were so glad we did. The scenery was absolutely beautiful.

Shout out to Ben, who shuttled us to our launch point, gave us pointers of what to expect, and helped us navigate the start. We could tell this is more than a job for him, he is passionate about what he does and wants others to have an experience on the Delaware River like he has so many times.

Other things that stand out: Check in was quick and easy. The kayaks and equipment were clean and in great condition. Pick up was fast (we called the office when we were close and they were already there waiting for us). When we arrived back at the office parking lot, Jane greeted us with our car keys---the personal touch that further exemplified what we had been experiencing throughout the trip.

I highly recommend Chamberlain Canoes. Nobody...

you know you’re at a good place when you can tell the owners genuinely care about what they do. this is a true family business. it’s immediately noticeable how tight-knit the staff is, and you get the vibe that everyone there loves what they do. not only are they knowledgeable about the area, but they’re also eager to give you tips on where to eat, where to shop, and of course, how to have fun on the water. we went out twice during our week-long stay in the Poconos because we enjoyed the first experience so much, and both times we were lucky enough to have Ben, the son of the owners, as our guide. he is such an upbeat and bright young man that I’m confident this business will be successful for decades to come. and his puppy Beau is always there to greet you with a smile. there are a number of canoe/kayak places that offer rentals, but Chamberlain Canoes provides a friendly, genuine, and family-oriented experience second to none. I have done kayak tours in multiple states and have not encountered a place like this before. you will not regret meeting these people. we came all the way from Illinois, and I’m thrilled to know that I will always have this company to return to if I come back to the Poconos. the Kauzlaric troop is incredibly happy, thank you...
