I always preferred to shop live and in person as it is a better way to evaluate the quality of things, and search for that special 'something'. That is not the case with your brick and mortar stores. The shopping experience in store is so confusing and uncomfortable. It always has been. The game Kohls plays with discounts and coupons is ridiculous.
When a shopper enters a store they just want to know how much the item is they might purchase. Items are not marked with a price, instead we have to look at small digital displays to find the items 'original' price and compare it to what the actual cost is - Just tell me the price from the beginning! Half the time you cannot even find the item on the display...so it is a guessing game and also a searching game to find a scanner station that will tell you the cost of the item.
Then we must factor in the Coupons!?! I leave the store always feeling like I got screwed because I might have found a better coupon if I just looked a little more thoroughly. You send out mailers often that provide shoppers with scratch off discounts of 15 â 30%⌠Ohh I wonder what it will be!? So I am the poor schlep with the 15% off coupon yet the gentleman behind me buying a pair of socks has the coveted 30% mailer. Screwed again! Is that really how you want your customers to feel?
Finally letâs talk about the carriage situation. Who is the Einstein who believed having 10 shopping carts for the entire store is a good thing? There is never one to be found and if you are lucky enough to find one you get a hernia bending down to remove the items you dropped into it. The square footage of the store is massive and being 55 yrs old, do you really think I like hauling items around in my arms? If the carts were more available and comfortable, I would be more apt to browse, purchase and spend more money.
Your marketing has always puzzled me. Perhaps you are catering to the younger crowed, but to me that doesn't make sense simply because we all know they much prefer to purchase online. Sadly you have convinced me to do the same. I would much rather shop online, it is so much easier. The coupons are automatically added and the price is the price. No games! Sadly, large retail stores are becoming a thing of past... Thank God for...
Read moreLove love love kohls selection and amazing coupons plus Kohl's cash! My absolute favorite store to go for clothes! Some tips I've learned since I started shopping here this year in October for those who haven't been and wanted to learn about them.... Kohls give you 10$ Kohl's cash for every 50$ you spend and have special occasions where they give 15$ for every 50$ spent. Some items may not be Kohl's brand such as Sephora and Nike but all items in the store have small screens that let you know if that item is coupon and Kohl's cash ineligible or eligible so make sure to look out for those also online it will let you know aswell. Kohls has on it's website and app the specific Kohl's brands that are eligible to use your coupons and Kohl's cash. Kohl's cash is issued for about a week after your purchase and will have an expiration date for about a week later. Kohls is always giving tons of coupons on the app or in your email if you sign up for free. Coupons can be from 20% to 40% off qualifying items. You also can earn Kohl's rewards which are awesome for every purchase in-store or online on for all purchases. They are given in increments of 5$ that will post to your account the 1st of each month. I was able to accumulate over 85$ one month between Kohl's cash and rewards which is amazing for any store to reward it's customers that much. They truly make you feel like friends and family! The clearance clothing selection here it enormous and up to 70% off!!! Also always check on the screens at the store because there is never a time that they are not having amazing sales so the price tag on the item is not always the final price. this store is so big and so clean, with very friendly and helpful staff. The line to return is the same to checkout. Self pickup is a breeze. It is a tight squeeze in some places and the lines can be a bit long at times but it's always worth it for the great finds, great quality, and great prices! Kohls is my top favorite...
Read moreMy experience at the Kohl's in Smithfield, Rhode Island, was absolutely frustrating and unacceptable. I made a $200 purchaseâ$30 on a gift card and $170 on my credit cardâyet when I returned $99 worth of merchandise, I was told I could only receive store credit, despite having both my receipt and the original payment method (credit card) in hand.
To make matters worse, the cashier, Stephanie, initially told me that $60 would go on the gift card and $40 on my credit card, even though I had only spent $30 on the gift card. When I asked for a manager, the story completely changed. The manager said I could only receive store credit, even though I had all the required documentation and payment methods, except for the gift cardâwhich the cashier had thrown away.
This is not only poor customer service but also a violation of consumer rights. Denying a refund to the original payment method, especially when I provided everything required, is both misleading and illegal. I will never shop at this location again and will be escalating this issue to corporate. Avoid this Kohlâs if you want fair and...
