I had never worked out in a gym before so I was very hesitant to try working out at Anytime Fitness.I didn't know where to start, and the free weight section seemed like where only the "pros" should step foot. I figured I would try just one month of membership and just one month of personal training, since I was clueless as how to do anything but run on a treadmill. (Cardio Queen!) I was concerned at first that the cost of personal training might not be worth it. You feel the same? Read on. My personal trainer, Victoria, has provided me with so much more than I could have anticipated. I don't just get a good workout in once a week with her - I gain accountability to continue working out all the other days of the week because she has a vested interest in seeing me succeed and motivates me. Knowing I have an appointment with her helps me stay on track. She pushes me harder than I would ever push myself, is extremely knowledgeable on modifying different exercises for ability levels, and teaches me correct form. Without her teaching me to perform certain exercises properly, there's a high chance I not only would look like an idiot attempting, but could have an injury. She wants to know what your goals are so she can help you attain them. The money I have spent on the gym membership & personal training has been money extremely well spent. You know what is more expensive? Bad health. Prescription Medications, Clinic visits, hospital bills, fad diet programs, bogus supplements. The gym itself is always extremely clean, never smells sweaty, and the other members are friendly. There is a wide variety of machines and free weights. If you are on the fence, I encourage you to give it a try, because I feel that my decision to walk through those doors has been...
Read moreTerrible membership experience created a membership. Everything started out great, going well. COVID hit. They shut down the gyms, so as all would assume, they’re not going to charge you during that timeframe since you can’t access the gyms. Well, they kept charging me. Finally, I gave up and told them I wanted to close my membership. They would not let me close my membership. They kept billing me during the time I wasn’t using the gym because of that. I tried canceling my membership multiple times, and they wanted me to come in and do an in-person exit interview and type up. A email on why I wanted to cancel my membership. After all that, they hit my credit with a $200 collection. So if I were y’all, I would avoid...
Read moreI stopped by this Anytime Fitness location during a road trip. It is impressively clean. There were signs in numerous areas (mirrors, bathroom, etc) reminding customers to take care of equipment, don’t walk in with muddy shoes, etc. The bathrooms were very clean. I took a shower and unfortunately excess water was spilling out of the shower, due to maybe insufficient drainage or the angle of the floor. I don’t fault the staff for this because that’s probably how the building was before the gym moved in. They even had a sign asking people to dry up excess water after showering which showed that the staff recognized the issue but maybe aren’t able to do much about it. Great gym. I’d recommend this...
