My husband and I went to Somers Point Lumber to purchase vanities for a bathroom remodel. Rob, the representative for Shiloh Cabinets helped us. He was patient and helpful and explained different woods and finishes to us. After much consideration we made our choices and gave a 50% down payment. Rob told us that the cabinets would arrive in approximately 8-10 weeks. Approximately 3 weeks later we returned to pick out hardware for the vanities. We asked to see the sample of the door that we picked out so that we could match it to the hardware. The sample door that was given to us was not the one that we ordered. In an effort to not cause an argument I did not confront Rob but just asked if I could reorder a different stain. He said that it would be more expensive and would take a few weeks longer but it was not a problem. I proceeded to do just that. Our vanities arrived on September 11th. When the delivery truck arrived at our house the driver informed us that we had to pay him up front before we could take delivery of our vanities. Although we were insulted we gave him a check for the full balance of our order and the vanities were placed in our possession. Upon unpacking them we found that the vanities were NOT the ones we ordered and several things were missing from the order. We contacted Rob immediately, and he told us that he would come to our house on September 16th to look at the vanities and resolve any issues. We have yet to hear from Rob. We stopped payment on the check and still have not heard from Rob or anyone at Somers Point Lumber. We have tried contacting Rob several times to no avail. I am so disappointed in Somers Point Lumber. I have always tried to support local businesses and am shocked that a local customer or any customer would be treated with such disrespect. If customer service had a picture attached to it, it would be Chris. He was extremely personal, knowledgeable, and the friendliest person I’ve ever worked with. If you’re looking to purchase equipment or materials for your project, call Somers Point Lumber & Home and ask for Chris. Dude took two seconds from Candy Crush to tell me they didn't have anything I wanted. I asked some questions and he told me he wasn't available to help. He was seated at the register of an empty store. Home Depot's customer service is terrible too, but at least they have inventory. Don't waste your time...
