John F. Kennedy Park — Attraction in Somers Point

I am from the center City Philadelphia area. My daughter bought a house down in Somers point. Boy I have to say what a beautiful place to come to. This park is crazy right on a huge Bay you can fish playlist all kinds of crazy stuff. Rent a boat. Philadelphia is just so dangerous anymore. I have lived in Fairmount my entire life and I have seen the city go down every single year of my life have never seen things this bad. But I have to say Summers /egg harbor township is the place to be. It is 2 minutes from Ocean City but everything is half the price on this side of the bridge. Very clean and quiet nice to have playground for kids grills and picnic tables for families and public restrooms. It also has a boat ramp and benches to sit and look out at the great egg harbor bay. I strongly suggest making sure young ones stay with you since even some of the parents and of course alot of the rest of the folks drive through there a bit too fast for it being a kid popular area. Slow it down folks keep your families safe and other families too. Going slower around that circle will not take long and ur just speeding up to have to stop twice before the main road. This is a wonderful little gem in Somers Point NJ right outside of Ocean City. It is a small park in relation to others in the area, but it has a nice pavilion, charcoal grills to use, plenty of benches and trees. The view of Ocean city is great and for those with small boats there is a ramp. They have two small walk on piers so we did a little crabbing and grabbed two little ones. Overall it is nice but remember to bring bug spray as the bugs come out a lot, especially if the bay breeze is not strong.
