I really love the variety of this market and I always preferred to use my wic checks here. Recently I went and tried to use my wic checks and am extremely upset because I feel like I was ripped off. I had $110 in wic checks to use. I kept 30$ worth of it so that would have meant I spent 80$ there. I had 40$ toward anything in the store and 40$ fruit and veggies because my checks were a match. I bought two small things of cheese, milk, a pound of ground beef and fish. There’s no may those items amount to 40$. I see now what the cashier did was use my match checks towards my fruit and veggie balance whenever I told the workers multiple times I didn’t want to do that and stop. Extremely fresh produce! Great customer service that Natalie shown right from the times she walked from the back of the store. She was wonderful with every single customer not showing any difference. This type of customer service is not even seen in Big chain, food markets! no judgment zone at! I’ve been a lot of places since I’ve moved down here and I felt extremely comfortable to walk around and enjoy every inch of the store without feeling as though I was being watched or as though anybody thought anything about me! It is nice to have a local produce store in town but they often don't carry items that I am looking for. They have the basics but none of the rarer greens or fruits. Usually I would go to the produce store for items that I cannot find in the grocery store. But not here. I have to go to the grocery store or Walmart. I like to get greens, collard, dandelion, turnip or mustard greens. They never have them. I wish they did because they are so close to me and on my way home from work!!!!!
