I picked it due to the odd, lunch only hours. Relatively small dining area to seat a few dozen tables with an admittedly odd entrance for a newcomer like myself. I had the Chuck Wagon Wrap, the smoked steak was amazing. Juicy and flavorful meat, onions and peppers added to that flavor without taking over. With some seasoned curly fries, it filled me up just right. Home-brewed sweet tea was awesome. Friendly and welcoming staff, very quaint Western Country theme that fit the specialty foods, but still plenty of options for anyone looking for a filling and tasty lunch, all fairly priced. If you like soup, salad, and sandwich, this is the place for you. Very good food, a hefty portion, and a good price. The ambience lives up to the name. It feels like you are eating at a chuckwagon. The simple atmosphere was refreshing from a cluttered world. The steak sandwich had a delicious smokey flavor. The chicken and bleu cheese on the salad was fresh and tasty. Be aware their hours are from 11 to 2:30. We almost missed it. I'm glad we didn't. I'm not from the area, but will make it a point to go back sometime. Good place to take friends for lunch. The food and staff were awesome! The only reason I gave the atmosphere 3 stars is because it is outside only dining, which was fine, the tables and area were clean, but I feel inside dining would have been great, too! I hope the owners will consider opening the restaurant back up! Our family enjoyed the cheese sticks, chicken quesadilla, chicken tenders and fries, grilled chicken salad, and a pulled pork sandwich.
