I was passing through this little town and was beyond overjoyed to step into this cafe.
I walked through the brick arches and into the cafe to be warmly greeted by Logan - the owner. The atmosphere was not what I had expected at all - a blend of antique furniture, fresh flowers, funky mugs, and a lot of love.
I ended up spending a few hours in the cafe working. While there I had a mocha latte - a standard measuring tool for me at a new cafe. It lived up to my expectations. The breakfast bagel was delicious. My only wish was that the sausage was a little bigger so that I got a bit in each bite and that the cheese had melted a little more. But, I am splitting hairs - it was delicious.
I was impressed by the menu - a lot of creativity and passion in all the aspects of this cafe. Logan prided herself on the development of new drinks and the pastries she was making in the back. Before I left, I asked her to make me something fun and cold. She made me a funnel cake latte. This is not something I would've typically ordered - it's a little too sweet for me. But, I loved it. It was full of flavor, whipped cream, and kind of melted in my mouth.
If you find yourself passing through town - or if you are lucky enough to live close by - MAKE SURE YOU STOP IN. If I lived closer, this would be a staple hangout for me.

Read moreI had pumpkin cinnamon roll. It was very good! Coffee was very strong/ bitter. (I love coffee is all ways. Not a fan of this blend.) I had a pumpkin cold brew & regular Americano drip coffee, both bitter. There is a lot of seating options. Most are vintage sofas or table & chairs. It could hold up to 8 per table at some. It is relatively quiet. At the time of my visit, manager/ owner was complaining of another employee performance to other people/ business owners on the street that came into order their coffee/ breakfast. If it was such a problem it should have been talked to the employee privately not to other business owners on the street & other people when they come it. It really showed me how things are ran, it made me not want to come back. I truly feel bad for the employee who wasn't there to even defend themselves. Just bad business practice. Also, it is right along the north center avenue, right in the middle of up town Somerset. Traffic is very crazy, especially lunch time. Parking is street parking. If you do not want to park on the street, you would have walk about a block or so for parking lot parking place. Outdoor seating is available, but again on busy street, there is a...
