I live in nearby Glen Ellen and this store has saved me loads of time many times when I need small items to fix things. Plus they’ve got propane and lumber - full service even though a small biz. The staff is uniformly friendly and helpful. Helpful as in jumping in to assist when I walk in the door, as in listening to my repair needs and helping with a design of a fix. Helpful as in offering info that I didn’t know that will help me repair or monitor my equipment. Helpful as in true customer service. The owner could give seminars on customer service through the JC. I "helped" him find things on the lower hooks/drawers/shelves! Guess that's why I have a DIY attitudein my Parson's blood. Seems they have everything but what they may not have right there in store they will order&have overnight if needed. Recently stopped at Friedman's in search of anti-grub treatment for the lawn, but found none. A quick call to Parson's revealed they they had some in stock. Upon entering the store, the service person remembered my phone call, promptly retrieved the treatment and even gave good tips about how to apply it.
