It's important to understand what kind of store DAISO originally was. This shop started out as a “100-yen shop,” meaning that every item was originally available for 100 yen. However, as you know, due to inflation and other factors, it can no longer maintain that pricing. In other words, it now falls into the same category as Dollar General or Dollar Tree.
