New York Butcher Shoppe — Local services in Southern Pines

I was so excited to hear that Southern Pines was getting a New York Butcher Shoppe! This place truly exceeded my expectations. They had an incredible selection of top-quality beef, seafood, and pork—perfect for anyone who loves to cook or grill. Their wine selection is quite impressive, with unique bottles you wouldn't typically find in other grocery stores. One of my favorite things about this place though, is their take-and-bake meals/sides & dessert items. They’re super convenient and delicious, and they have a ton of different options. I tried the white chicken lasagna, the buffalo chicken dip, and the Heath Toffee brownie—all were absolutely phenomenal!

The staff was also fantastic. There were friendly, helpful, and really knowledgeable when I had questions.

This shop has it all! But most of all they know your name and treat you like you are the only customer in the shop. Their selections of Prime and Choice CAB steaks are the best in town and within a 50-mile radius. Will and his butcher Bo have all the info you need to make your grilling experience TOP NOTCH. Do not sleep on their wine selection either. Make sure you get their house steak seasoning too. Oh yes, if the weather is not ideal for grilling, they also do hot meals ready to pick up and chow down when you get home - I believe they do these hot meals 3 or 4 times a week. Ok... Nice place... Nice stuff... WAY over priced. Most of the non perishable items are available online for way cheaper. Carr crackers for 5.99... I bought them at Harris Teeter today for 2.50 (sale). The meats are WAY insanely overpriced. All that is a little expected... What really prompted this review is the tip window that popped up when I was checking out. Really? You're already charging double for some meats and you all are expecting a tip!? This is not a restaurant. Yes you packaged food... but you didn't provide service to a table or create an experience. Lol
