Had a mishap with an 'order online, pickup in store' purchase (I never got the email from GameStop that it was ready). I tried calling the store several times over the course of several days with no answer but assumed they were busy with black Friday / cyber Monday weekend. Once I finally got ahold of them, they confirmed my order was ready. I went the next day - and they refused to honor the price I had originally purchased it for (GameStop automatically cancels orders that haven't been picked up in 7 days - which is totally understandable). I explained that it wasn't my fault for not receiving the email or not being able to get ahold of the store during that week, to which I was told "it's not my fault that you didn't come pick it up in time" by the employee.
Fortunately, I was able to remedy the situation at a different GameStop location with no issue.
Bottom line - I work in retail, I get that the holidays are overwhelming, but technological mishaps / emails, etc. are bound to happen - and instead of taking an opportunity to provide good customer service, this location made my shopping experience incredibly difficult 'just because'. It was incredibly unprofessional and honestly, just rude. Next time, I will just be shopping...

I called 10 minutes ago and was greeted with an attitude. I told the employee i am willing to drive 50 minutes to his location for the sale but id appreciate if he could check a firmware version or two for me before I go that far out of my way. He very rudely imitated me, asking me if i was REALLY requesting him to check for me. The 9 other gamestops i called had no problem with my request. Do not ask them to do their job, you will be greeted with ghetto attitudes and bad business ethics. They lost a 275 dollar sale today and are the only store with a surplus of switches. Read moreWhen I called to see the balance I had on a preorder I had, the lady told me if it wasnt placed at this location she might not be able to look it up. I worked at a gamestop for over 2 years and I know that what she just said was a lazy lie. I told her she should be able to and she asked if i could wait a minute. No problem....she had me on hold for over 6 minutes. That is unacceptable and I will now be driving out of my way to a gamestop that has well mannered employees. This one has always been on the short end of the stick for me and that set me off. Their manager is a joke and I will not be giving them...
