Iâd say my experience with GameStop has been a mix of good and not-so-good moments, which is why Iâm giving it three stars. On the positive side, the store has a solid selection of games, consoles, and accessories. Itâs a great place to browse if youâre a gamer or shopping for someone who is. I also appreciate that the staff is usually friendly and knowledgeable â they can answer questions about new releases or help track down something specific.
However, there are a few things that make shopping here a little frustrating. The trade-in values are often much lower than expected, which can be disappointing if youâre trying to sell or trade older games. Iâve also noticed that the store can feel a bit cluttered or disorganized at times, especially during busy hours. Some of the prices on collectibles or used games can be hit or miss too â sometimes great deals, other times not so much.
Overall, GameStop is okay if you know what youâre looking for and just want to browse in person. Itâs a decent place for quick pickups or preorders, but I wouldnât call it my go-to for every gaming...
   Read moreWe had a great experience today with Ben who works in the store! We were buying a switch for a gift and wanted to trade in our Xbox 1 for credit towards the switch. We had a previous encounter with a different GameStop long story short they refused our trade because it wasnât updated even though it was in perfect condition so we had to take it home to upgrade it but needed the switch for today for the gift. I called the spanaway store and talked to Ben 5 mins before closing and he said he would be happy to help us even if we didnât make it exactly for closing time. We got there a few mins after closing and he let us in a helped us do our trade and get our switch as well as the best credit back for our trade. We also bought some games and accessories. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and it was amazing that he stayed 45 mins after closing just to help us out!!! GIVE BEN A...
   Read moreFor some reason the phone line won't go through. For the past week and a half that I've been trying to call to avoid a wasted visit. When it rings through it advertises online order for pick-up however those options aren't available for consoles and then it says the store is experiencing technical difficulties no matter what time of day I call that's what I get. GameStop is losing a lot of money by not taking these in-store problems they're experiencing seriously and it doesn't make me feel like a valued customer at all....
