(Continued from Ronnie's review) Which if we had known previously to booking the venue, I really donāt think we would have gotten married there. This meeting felt like a way for them to tell us that we are going to pay a bunch of money for the food at the reception but hereās some food to hopefully distract you from that. The tasting ended up being primarily about the cost of the food for our wedding. This also was disappointing because we asked several times at our first meeting, before putting a deposit down, about the total cost of food. We were having a full lunch for the family and having the treats for the reception. We wanted to get an idea on how much it was going to cost us having to use their vendors versus other venues where we have the freedom to choose what we want to do and saving quite a bit of money. This was a big part of us initially picking which venue to go with, after we compared the cost of each venue in total. Like many other things we were told how much, and that total ended being a lot more after papers were signed and a deposit was put down. We had asked how much we should expect to pay for everything for feeding everyone and the price they gave us would be for each guest. We later find out that, even though we had brought up these concerns before and were told what we wanted to hear, that there would be lots of additional charges including; charges for any napkins, plates, cups, dinnerware, anyone to serve the food, etc. We decided to order all of those things ourselves and when we told them they were very clear about letting us know they will not have any of those things available if we do not bring them. We didn't decide to pay the extra money to try the food that was going to be served and that was a bad decision on our part. The pasta didnāt have any flavor, the breadsticks were hard as a rock and the salad was a salad. Also, for the reception the hot chocolate wasnāt anything greater then store bought hot chocolate, the donuts were good but I do not believe Sheps made them. Even though we were told they would be made by Shep's, we were given the left overs in a local donut stores' boxes. We were told we couldn't bring any outside food in other then the wedding cake. Then Bacchus, the bar service, was ok. We were told we would have to contact them directly to get any information and to schedule them for the event. They were extremely difficult to get ahold of even though me and my husband called constantly and tried contacting them through email. We were getting nervous because although we had told them our date, it was getting extremely close to the wedding date before we were even able to discuss what we wanted at the wedding and any other details. Other then that they didnāt show up on time and they didnāt bring or use the alcohol we specifically asked and paid for. We were told it would cost more for more premium and name brand liquors and we were charged extra for those but they still served a generic brand liquor. I'm trying to only mention bigger concerns, but the one of the last things that I will mention was; there was an accident where their wooden circle arch did fall on my cousin while we were setting up, breaking a vase with flowers. Luckily she wasnāt seriously injured, but fair warning if you do plan on using it. A River bridge employee did make sure she was okay and gave her a gift card to make up for the accident. This venue is absolutely stunning and we were able to get amazing photos. We were able to have freedom and many options on how we wanted to set up. We liked that we had the indoor and outdoor options to deal with weather as it came, and there are a lot of nice features in this venue. Unfortunately, with everything that happened, I wouldnāt choose to have any other event there or recommend it to others. Despite the many desirable features of this venue, I wouldn't want anyone else to have all of that stress and those obstacles on their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe chose River Bridge for our daughter's wedding day festivities since her husband's family is from Price, and we are from Cedar Hills (Northern Utah County). Split the difference in travel for both sides of the couple. It was truly a magical venue. Every little detail is thought of, from the bride and groom rooms, to the central upstairs family gathering room, with couches and a television, so family is comfortable for the day, between the luncheon and reception. All bathrooms are even stocked with mints! The main hall is open and spacious and accommodates a large crowd comfortably so family felt like they could stay for the duration of the party and not be taking up space from the reception guests coming through to wish the bride and groom a happy hello. There's a darling drink station dedicated for serving a soda bar, or whatever type of drinks you plan to serve. (one thing to note, it is a very tall drink bar, not meant to be a self serve station necessarily. We did find a small step stool on-site for our daughter-in law who was helping serve the soda bar, but would need two if shorter people are helping at the bar:) The industrial kitchen is perfect for River Bridge's preferred caterers, (which we chose to go with, and wouldn't do it any other way) or you can pay a minimal fee of $500 and do your own food of choice and have use of the kitchen for yourself. If you are tight on budget, this is a much cheaper way to go for sure. River Bridge staff was on hand to do a quick turn around between our luncheon after the temple sealing, and our late afternoon reception. We switched out caterers, added extra tables, and were ready to go for the reception within one hour with the help of the staff and extra friends. Staff was on hand for the evening to help with anything that we had questions about, and even helped to make a quick venmo chalkboard sign for us when guests were asking for a venmo QR code. We would highly recommend RIver Bridge Events Center for a reception/or event of any kind. We loved the space! Large parking lot...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe LOVE River Bridge Event Center!! My daughter and I toured at least 15 venues between Salt Lake City and Spanish Fork. River Bridge was by far our favorite! The staff was the friendliest and most accommodating. They were quick to respond to us and helped us in every way. I really enjoyed working with them! The venue was stunning inside and out. The building itself is new and brilliant. We loved the doors, the chandeliers and the overall elegance. The Bride's Room and Grooms Room were amazing! Even the restrooms were beautiful. The overall lighting was perfect for pictures. We had an outdoor ring ceremony, indoor dinner and indoor/outdoor reception. All 200 of our guests fit comfortably for the sit down dinner. I think we had around 300 guests for the reception. (Many of the other sites we looked at could not accommodate our large party without adding on absurd fees and strange requirements.) The grounds are beautifully landscaped, and the mountains made the perfect back drop for pictures! We loved dancing under the lights outdoors. It stormed every day before the wedding, so we were grateful to have the indoor and pavilion option if needed. (Thankfully, we had perfect weather.) We heard Sheps Culinary Creations was the best caterer and were thrilled when we discovered Sheps is exclusive to River Bridge. Yum! Our friends were right! The food was delicious! There was plenty of parking for our large party. This place really has EVERYTHING you need! We live in California and many of our friends flew out for the wedding. Some of them want to move to Spanish Fork now. Our other guests were primarily from SLC and Provo. It was a bit of a drive for some of them, but we had a full house. Your guests wont want to miss your wedding of the century at River Bridge! I hope you pick this place! You will be glad you did! If you are reading this, good luck with your event...
