Not my favorite of truck stops but still a lot of amenities.
The Iron Skillet Restaurant is here- I was not impressed with the food. It was nearly $26 for a meal and it was far too greasy to eat. Ended up taking 2 bites and throwing it away. The service was subpar as well, the waitress had a lot of customers but just seemed to keep disappearing & cursing which I found pretty unprofessional. Even if it is a truck stop.
The showers cost $18- while âcleanâ they are not very clean. The grout of the tile was primarily black instead of white and the room itself was awfully small, bring your own towel in too. The bathrooms were clean, but again, nothing to write home about.
The convenience store itself wasnât too bad. The prices were to be expected, nothing seemed super overpriced. These staff members were pretty nice and proficient at getting people in & out.
Amenities that I saw were the Casino, laundry area & a sign that said Beauty Shop (although, I didnât go explore myself), small gaming area with claw machines, as well as a Verizon spot. The guy in the fedora was very accommodating, he might be worth the stop to see.
ATM fee is $4.95. Western Union and shipping services here too.
There are several lanes in the fuel island and even during a peak time it did not take long to get through. Parking was not too difficult. They do have Free & 100 Reserved Parking spots which cost $18. CAT SCALE, truck wash, & maintenance areas as well are here.
Lastly, it says they have a church, pet area, fitness center & fitness...
Read moreTwo days ago got a PM service, no issues, had to wait which is par for the coarse, so on Friday at 6:30pm I scheduled a trailer dot and new tire, but I had to wait until 2:00pm Saturday because of no DOT tech, I go in at 9:30 am to confirm my appointment, nothing written on the wall board, so I was put back in line, service writer blames other shift for the incompetents, meanwhile Iâm told to park behind door 4 at 2:00pm, meanwhile going on 7:00pm I still sit behind door 4, there is no contact with know one to say hey weâre running behind, no eta no nothing, I go in the shop and one tech is on his phone sitting down behind tool boxes out of sight, the service writer is behind the desk in a chair on his phone, I question the wait, he goes out surveys the situation, returns back to his phone, not saying a word, at least the tire guy said sorry for the wait, but no explanation, maybe because he was training another person. I donât expect the shop guys to make excuses, they are just trying to do their jobs under the current circumstances, thatâs the service writers job to conduct customer service which there was none. Unfortunately things are going to get worse before...
Read moreCalled ahead to ask about a DOT inspection, guy on phone answered my questions about ability to get in and out same day, so I told them I'd be right in. Great I thought. Arrived a 1/2 hr later to different story. The place is slammed. I stand waiting patiently to be helped as I see they're extremely busy. 2 guys at the counter on the phone, 3rd guy walks up asks people behind me if they need help, then another, then another before I say "Hey!, Can I get some help?!" I was completely ignored. Guy at counter is now annoyed with me. Guy on phone gives me dirty look. Service manager or someone of authority comes and tells the guys, no more inspections until 11am next day, and it is 1 pm now. Bottom line I left to go outside of town to Fernley. I can't rate their truck service because I didn't get any. However their in-person customer service is poor. Unless you have time for a 36 reset or total emergency, seek...
