I live in Spencer and I drive to Floyds with no problem and do so especially for their ground chuck hamburger and their other meats, they DO NOT dye their meats as ALL the others around the area (s) do, even wally world. And as said I only buy ground chuck hamburger and other meats there also. We have a save a little up here in spencer and their ground chuck is always $2.79 lb and up to $3.79 lb and 5-6 years ago they had great meats but they changed their supplier (s) and it was downhill from then on. I just went and got their ground chuck at $1.69 lb at floyds and no minimum of lbs for that price. Now I will say that many of their other products are way up in price comparatively speaking for the area but if u compare to big city grocery stores as in Atlanta, Florida, ny, etc they are right in line and many times cheaper on most of their items. All the staff are great and helpful. And when they run sales as they always do, they can't be beat anywhere. Yea it's a 30 mile round trip but worth it, and if they were in Cookeville I would still make the drive as its not only the much cheaper meats pricing but the quality of them. I would just buy more...

Their 5/19.99 deals are perfectly portioned for us empty nesters OR for a larger family on a budget( as most of us are these days). The variety of fresh cut meats, sides and breakfast items are sure to please most folks around here. The staff is friendly and helpful, just one more reason to keep coming back! Go see what I am talking about and let big biz know that we support local downhome proprietors who still believe in values, customer service, and honest to goodness "fresh" foods. ( yes, a butcher on the payroll-- not middle-man half- thawed-half frozen meat displayed with tricky words on the labels) We will see yall...
Read moreI like to come here when I know exactly what I need and times when it's not a lot of stuff. Their carts are on the small side, and they have toddler carts for kids as well. Their selection is average for a small town grocery store. I would not recommend going for diapers. They do not accept printed coupons, only newspaper coupons. Their frozen food selection is minimal. Produce is minimal. They have a pick five for $20 meat option, but it's nothing you wouldn't already pay twenty bucks for. Their prices are slightly above average. They do have greeting cards by the register but they are not...
