Alright, buckle up for a petal-powered review, folks!
So there I was, strolling into Coggins Flowers in Spartanburg, SC, with a mission to surprise my better half with some bloomin' love. Now, I'm no botanist, but I know my daisies from my dahlias, and let me tell you, Coggins has got the goods!
Walking in, the scent hit me like a fresh spring breeze â if that breeze was carrying a bouquet of every flower under the sun. The place was buzzing like a bee convention, and I was ready to pollinate my shopping cart with some floral finesse. The staff? Friendlier than a neighbor with a pie on a Sunday afternoon. They've been planting smiles on faces for over 65 years², and it shows.
I asked for something special, and they whipped up an arrangement that had more layers than my famous seven-layer dip. It was like they read my mind, which is a good thing because the only thing I can read is a dad joke book. Speaking of, why did the flower take a break? To rest its buds!
Now, I've heard some folks say they've had mixed experiencesÂłâ´, but me? I'm all about giving credit where credit's due. Sure, the prices might have you digging a little deeper into your pocketsâ´, but can you really put a price on the look of joy when your wife sees those roses? I think not.
And hey, if you're in a rush, they're quicker than me when I hear the ice cream truck. Kirby McCarver said it best, "less than 2 hours after I PLACED a last minute delivery order to my girlfriend. They took my order, made the arrangement, and delivered it that fast!"â´. Now that's what I call pedal to the metal!
So, would I recommend Coggins Flowers? As surely as I'd recommend wearing socks with sandals â it's comfortable, practical, and a fashion statement. So go ahead, make your day (and someone else's) with a little help from Coggins. And remember, you can't buy happiness, but you can buy flowers, and that's pretty much the same thing....
Read moreWriting another review further to my partnerâs from yesterday. We appreciate the response from Coggins, but felt it was solely for the purpose of redeeming their reputation to new prospective customers than to satisfy an existing unhappy customer.
Iâll provide some transparency.
We placed the order on their website. We paid for the premium bouquet and additionally for delivery. I have attached our receipt.
We received an e-mail saying the order was on hold and we would receive a confirmation e-mail, which we received approx 90 mins later. If the delivery area was too far, this would have been the time to let us know, instead of deciding yourselves to substitute the size of the bouquet.
However looking at previous reviews, it is quite common for pictures online not to represent flowers delivered.
We sent an e-mail to customerservice@cogginsflowers.com with our order number as the reference.
In the responses to our review you gave us the option to call the store to discuss this further. We have explained we live in a different country, with a different time zone. Good customer service in our opinion would be getting our e-mail address from the order form and getting in touch with us.
Your offer to âexchange but it would be the same sizeâ is laughable. If you think what we received, looked like what is advertised you are working in bad faith.
Florists are usually used in occcasions of joy and sorrow. You donât usually want any added stress or complications in these moments so my advice to anyone looking, would be to shop elsewhere or severely manage your expectations. Our mistake was not to paying attention to other reviews which show examples...
Read more(Update: Didnât receive a courtesy call the next day so I had to call myself. No apology given just was told they can refund it or discount and deliver today. Took the 20% discount and was delivered the flowers. The discount must have been offset by the quality of the flowers, orginally premium and was delivered the equivalent of gas station flowers. Truly unfortunate I should have just taken the full refund. They say 65 years of business, wouldâve expected better. Ordered a bouquet to be delivered for valentines as a cliche surprise of course to my wifeâs work (6mins from the flower shop) and ordered two weeks in advance. I understand it is of course a busy day. Flowers were not delivered before my wife left work for the day. I called at 3:27pm and was told they would call me right back after they checked on my order. After 30mins around 4:02 I called back and spoke with someone else whom told me they would find the truck it was on and reroute to my house. (15mins from the shop) Since they close at 6:00pm I called at 5:56pm and spoke to a different individual who said yes they will be delivered today and the last trucks were just leaving to deliver. It is now 8:00pm and I have unfortunately give up hope that the items costing $123.00 after tax, $12.99 delivery and $18.18 tip, will be delivered. An excited surprise turned into an embarrassing disappointment as I am left empty handed. Unfortunately I believe they are perhaps overwhelmed with the amount of orders they must receive and unable to maintain timely, quality service. Unfortunate as well that I would not recommend for anyone with the same...
