Great Lakes Mall — Local services in Spirit Lake

Haven't been in the mall in years, don't even know what stores still exist there to be honest. I heard Remington's closed up maybe two summers ago, that sound right? Never personally went into basket place if that still exists and have not gone into Silver and Gold in I bet over a decade after an under the breath white trash comment leveled at me from the person working that day and my retort consisting of something like "keep smuggling coke ya crackhead" or whatever the exchange was, has been many years so don't remember exact wordage. Doesn't really matter anymore, who shops in a store or mall anymore anyhow, I mean what year is it. Even the best store will be limited on inventory and options so other than gas, cigarettes, and food I don't see the point in using a store for anything anymore much less a mall. The end of an era. Indoor shopping malls are like a dwindling flame. As the people crave fast fashions and cheaper products delivered straight to their door. Preferring to shop via the endless scroll on their phones, from the cucoon of their homes. No longer caring about the people involved in the process of product creation or delivery services. craving instant gratification & no longer expect anything other than the planned obsolescence of a capitalist system run amuck. the only mark of success being monetary gain of those few conglomerate company owners at the top of it all. Small but amazing stores that definitely fit any budget! My first visit to the Beauty School to get my hair cut...Shelby Kunerth (Student) amazed me by bringing me from Blah To Shining & Smiling...the Instructors and other Students were all in AWE as well.
