Didn't have that great of experience night instructor is a bully to people and the school is aware of this if you can't handle her and want to transfer to day time you'll fall behind and have to wait in other classes to roll by cause there not a lot of options there good at taking your money and giving your stipend check at later times most often after you finish course or couple after or not at all and you have to bug them to find out why we're you have to ask them repeatedly same question. Have heard them say they have favorites in class that they have made mentors and gave them special treatment. The best instructor at this school was last one I had before externship she was always nice, accommodating, friendly, treated everyone the same great teacher, patient and willing todo whatever to help you succeed her name was Beth. Carly was best friendliest nicest front desk person and it be shame if they lost her! Also pretty sad I decided not to further my education with them and went...
Read moreThis so called college is just like TREND College that was in Spokane Washington for years.
Tend accepted my student loan, I had high grades and 100% attendance. But after graduation I could not find a job that recognized my degree or pay more then minimum wage.
I now people who graduated from Carrington College that graduated with great grades and attendance who could not find jobs.
Carrington will send them out on interviews…..but they never get hired.
When these former students ask for guidance on what they could have done in order to get the job. The suggestion are like maybe they need to spend money you don’t have on a new wardrobe……or change your personality…..loose weight, etc. I guess they are great ideas but in the short term they really need a job to afford new clothes or afford guidance on how to loose weight.
I ended up joining the military to pay off my student loan from Trend College…..and contacting the Better Business Bureau on the colleges questionable practices.
I have friends that have gone to colleges like Carrington that have a better business structure that are now executives at the companies that worked with the college’s to hire them……with no other education.
The only time you’ll become an executive coming out of Carrington is if you go to another college and get an actual degree.
I recommend for any student to do their research and go to a better college that has a better reputation. Also one that can help get you a decent job…….a job that’ll...
Read moreI would give it a zero if I could. This was a complete waste of my time and my money. I went for veterinary assistant and I got stuck at a non profit animal sanctuary for my externship. (I had fun and would do it on my free time. But not paying for my education) I begged the school to put me somewhere else because I knew not being in a clinic would effect my job search. They assured me I'd be fine. But I wasn't. I wasted away for 6 weeks being only a farm hand and forgot all that I had learned in class. I am now trying to find a job and have been denied/overlooked 8 times!! Why? Because I don't have any clinic experience. This is what all the places told me or were concerned about. All the vet clinics have bad things to say about Carrington too. It does not have a good rep at most clinics. Everyone else has already been hired at a clinic. Most at the ones they externed at. They over fill the classes too. They dont put at "cap" on the numbers so three of my terms I had 40-42 people in my class. That's all to one teacher. Classroom was too small for when we brought our animals in. I got screwed over. And I definitely would not recommend this...
