I rarely give 5 star reviews after dealing with a business for the first time. I usually like to allow room for improvement- this is how much Chuck's impressed me.
We had to replace our fridge, and the place we bought our W/D set from is out of business. Shopping around- both new and used- we couldn't find what we wanted/could afford.
On our way home we passed by Chuck's. We stopped in and were immediately struck by the inventory. Although limited due to available space, they had quality, clean, name-brand appliances at very reasonable prices.
The store was also well maintained and clean. We were immediately greeted by Steve. I felt very comfortable dealing with him- he gave great answers to our questions, and he wasn't pushy. When I asked him about military discounts, he told me they offer them.
My wife took her time and chose a nice unit. It has some dings and dents, but they are on the side and don't detract from either function or appearance from the front.
It was a little out of our budget, so Steve arranged financing. I followed his instructions to acquire the application link, and about 30 minutes later we were approved- with 100 days to pay it off with zero interest. The next day we took the fridge home. Steve took our old on off our hands- and loaded the new one onto my truck.
I have waited three days after our purchase to post this review. I wanted to make sure there were no issues first. So far, so good. My wife is happy- she said it's the nicest one she's ever had, and she's "really impressed".
As I'm writing this, she making supper. She told me it passed something she called the "onion test". Apparently, the colder an onion is, the less chance of it irritating your eyes when cutting it up.
Having worked for one for nearly 17 years, I prefer to do business with local, family-owned businesses. Steve is friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly, honest. We are happy with our purchase- it works great and looks sharp in our kitchen. We will definitely get our next...
   Read moreHello,
So, I bought a stove from them. Yup, it’s used, but they have really nice stuff... it was a 2017 that was more than double price everywhere else on Black Friday. So far, everything works cherry on it. They actually don’t have any warranty. Everything is as is. But price was so attractive, I was able to outweigh wanting a warranty. I can buy new with warranty included but it was six of one, half dozen the other. Quite frankly, good people. So, I give em a high 5. Will add more later if needed.
The only negative reviews seem to be from angry people or posse family members of another appliance store that was in town. Doesn’t seem to be one real review (negative) about Chucks among any of it. I highly doubt any of these Negative Reviewers have purchased or set foot in any used appliance store recently let alone Chucks place. I highly doubt they know anything about any business practices in general. They seem to be fueled by drama and time. Positive or negative, they are clearly angry. I did go into this store. I did speak with them before I purchased. They were very upfront that they sell used appliances. They buy and fix used appliances... as do the other used appliance stores in town. Heck, even Craigslist. Goodwill. Habitat for Humanity. You want new, go to Fred’s Appliance. They are good people too. You can even buy an extended warranty.
The employer you all are up in arms about had double heart bypass surgery this year. That’s pretty common knowledge. So, yup... his business shut down. SUDDENLY. No ones fault. Maybe you should write a negative review on Gods page...? But seriously, dude retired. He is no longer in business. Sorry y’all got let go? If his family or his friends or his other employees got the money together to start another used appliance store and move forward through that time, doesn’t seem shady to me at all. Seems like you could have done the same and no one would be hollering at you for starting a...
Read moreI am a sports massage therapist, (and a mom to a teenager), with a packed schedule, so it’s a ton of laundry daily. And my washer died right before Halloween, the nightmare of all nightmares. I emergency purchased a washer from Home Depot. When it arrived it was shaking and definitely didn’t wash worth a damn. Purchased another one from Lowes and it was straight garbage as well. After reading copious amounts of reviews I finally headed over to Chuck’s Appliances.
Steve greeted us and truly listened to my needs. He showed me two top loader machines that were way to small for my needs. So then he asked a few more questions and showed me a front loader and explained everything about it to me.
I pulled the trigger and bought it. Let me tell you, this is literally the very BEST washer I have ever owned!!! I am absolutely gobsmacked at how: Sturdy it is. Unreal how clean it gets the laundry. Whisper silent. Did I say cleanest laundry ever?!?!?!
If you are on the fence about buying used, let me reassure you that Steve has got...
