May 2024 update: So, after thinking about it, I changed my mind and ended up buying the recommended sub and amp from Crutchfield and took it back to Jeff to get it installed. After Jeff got the back seat out, the Initial sub sent by Crutchfield didn't fit as the sub box was a weird shape, so called them back for a replace and return. No issue with the process, but the new sub didn't fit either. Crutchfield obviously had incorrect information about the new model Honda Ridgeline. Jeff took some pictures so they could update their records. With my permission, he ended up modifying the first speaker to fit the box. As I was driving it out of the parking lot, I started getting a "WhoooOOOP" coming from the new setup. Called Jeff who said that was likely the Auto Noise Cancellation. Jeff called Crutchfield again to get guidance and told me he'd get back to me in a day or so. In the meantime, I looked in my owners manual and online to find out if there was a way to turn it off; no joy. Called Honda; no joy. Jeff and Crutchfield continued to do research to find out which wires had to be cut to disable the microphones that fed the ANC. A couple of days later, Jeff asked me to return. He cut the appropriate wires and all is good. No extra charge from Jeff for the extra time to do all that research. In addition, he immediately posted all this information online so other audio installers could benefit. Jeff is all about customer service and his rates are the best in town. Think twice before you take your audio install work anywhere else.
Old post: I bought an aftermarket integrated sub/amp combo for my 2024 Honda Ridgeline and brought it to Jeff to Install. After taking a look at the stock system and realizing it already had a sub, Jeff informed me of such and said the sub I asked him to install wasn't going to do much. He suggested I check with Crutchfield for an alternative in my price range. After checking the pricing of the sub, amp and installation, I ultimately decided to live with the factory setup. I'm leaving this 5 star review because many installation places would have just charged me to install what I brought them and I likely would have been disappointed. Kudos to Jeff for his honesty and work ethic. When I do have any audio work I need done, I will definitely bring it to Valley...
Read moreIf you're looking for top-notch service and high-quality installation, look no further than Valley Audio Install, owned by Jeff. Around five years ago, I purchased an Alpine car stereo and Kenwood amplifier near my residence in Marysville, WA. However, I faced persistent issues with the loose amplifier, subpar sound quality, and occasional speaker cutouts. Despite multiple visits to the original place of purchase, the root causes of these problems remained elusive.
Eventually, I turned to Jeff for assistance, and he proved to be the solution I had been seeking all along. I truly wish I had chosen Jeff from the very beginning. He skillfully secured the amplifier, discovering that it had been improperly mounted upside down, which could have resulted in heat damage. Additionally, Jeff identified that the speakers' polarity was reversed, causing both the audio quality issues and the intermittent cutouts. While Jeff's services may not come cheap, his expertise and meticulous attention to detail are well worth the price.
In conclusion, for unparalleled service and flawless installation, Valley Audio Install, led by Jeff, is your go-to destination. Don't repeat my mistake—make Jeff your first choice, and enjoy the peace of mind that comes with a...
Read moreNot a great experience. I had two infotainment centers and cameras installed. One one car, the car was left a mess when picking it back up. Boxes and packaging and left over pieces were all through out the car. The installation location of the USB charger wasn't verified beforehand and was just installed in the cigarette adapter location after he removed it, so I lost my cigarette lighter and now can't use electronics/devices that would plug in there. When asked why, he said it was the easiest location. Also, part of the plastic panelling by my shifter was chipped and so I see a gouge every time I get in my car. When I got home, I found out the rear camera was reversed so the left side of the view was on the right side of the screen. I had to make a trip back for that. I felt like this should have been checked at install. On the second car, we lost power and communication to the other usb ports in the car which our kids use a lot. This wasn't communicated until after we had the unit installed but in talking to him after, he knew it affected all installs and that there isn't a fix or piece to buy to keep...
