The Most Authentic Tacos in Spokane, Washington! 🌮🤤 📍8021 E Sprague Ave, Spokane Valley, WA #tacos #tacotuesday #fishtacos #spokanewashington #WA #spokanevalley

I loved this place, I haven't been to a real Mexican restaurant in ages and this really hit the spot. I got an adobada Huarache w/ avocado, and 2 buche tacos. The buche was definitely my favourite. They brought out chips & salsa when we sat down, and to my surprise it was pretty spicy, I loved it! The adobada was a little dry, but everyone does it different. If I could do it again I would get everything buche. The place was a little small, but to be honest it made me feel like it was more authentic and non-americanized. They treated me very kindly, and didn't bother me about my service dog. The only downside was my boyfriend's order. His burrito was falling apart, low on meat, and they forgot to omit the cilantro as requested. But considering it wasn't my order, I didn't include it in my star-rating. I loved my order 😁 Oh, also I loved the green salsa.

This was likely my 4th or 5th visit to Taqueria Guerrero, and I finally decided to order something besides the street tacos. Which, by the way, are to die for! Having just finished working out, I was starving. I ordered the chicken burrito supreme and a fish taco. The burrito was huge and cooked to perfection. Only order if you're truly hungry and save some of your chips. You will need some for the filling that is bound to escape the tortilla. I almost didn't have room for the taco I ordered. The fish was battered and fried g1olden brown. You get plenty of cabbage and onions along with a zesty sauce. It's not the biggest fish taco in town but definitely one of the better ones! Taqueria Guerrero is fast, clean, and has amazing staff! If you're looking for great food, fast service, and want to support a small business, stop by.

I literally told several friends and some random guy at the gas station about how good the tacos are here.

We had the fish tacos (thank you, Friday special) the pulled chicken tacos and the churros.

FOOD The Fish Tacos were genuinely the best I've EVER had. The fish was fresh, cod I believe, perfectly fried, and it might be a spicy crema media sauce the put on them? But it's perfect; none of that lime flavored mayo that's so popular for places in the US. Toppings also included sweet onions, finely diced, finely chopped cilantro... es absolutamente magnífico. Absolutamente. PLUS: they have a special on Fridays for fish tacos, and you'll save $0.50 per fish taco.

Kid's Meal Chicken Tacos ... the kids ate these, so I can't personally state how they tasted, but they couldn't stop shoving them into their faces, which tells you everything about 'em that you need to know. I loved the fact that they have a kid's meal option ... 2 tacos of your choice, refried beans and rice for like $7.50 !?! PLUS: la mujer up front asked us if the kiddos wanted all the toppings, and put sauce on the side specifically for the kid's tacos. She obviously knows kids are picky eaters.

The Churros ... Ok, honestly, I messed up, because you gotta eat churros right away, and I got us lost on the way back to the hotel. But even after being in the car for 40 minutes and shoving these amazing tacos into our faces for 5 minutes, the churros were still good. Crispy, albeit chewy (thanks to me letting them sit too long), perfect amount of sugar, cinnamon, and a dark chocolate drizzle... Just yum. It came with 6 churros. They're about 3/4 of an inch in diameter, and are about 7 inches long.

All the tacos come in white corn tortillas. They have a huge menu to choose from. Everything is obviously in-house made.

ATMOSPHERE We walked in for a pickup and the place was quiet. It says a lot about a restaurant when there are people sitting at tables, but they're re not even talking, because they're just continuously eating. LOL. Several tables, utterly silent, just hunched over their plates, looking kinda afraid like someone might take from them There was an overland trucker guy there who had tried every item on the menu. He said he'd been coming there since day 3 and plans his trips to go through Spokane just to eat there. I'm sold.

STAFF So professional. Genuinely considerate. While all the customers are silent, as they're noshing this awesome food, we heard BOH talking to FOH, calling out orders, asking questions and getting it DONE. They didn't start our order until we got there, which I'll admit slightly irritated me at the time, because I just wanted to grab it and go... However, in hindsight, they know you don't wanna eat fried food that's been sitting for forever, so they made it Fresh for us. They want it to be perfect for you.

I already talked about how considerate of the kids the staff was, and that means everything to me.

TL;DR Food so good you can't talk during dinner? ✅ Food so good you come back regularly? ✅ Food made fresh for your order? ✅ Food made with quality ingredients? ✅ Food so GOOD that you tell some random guy at a gas station the next day all about how awesome the food was? ✅ Professional/helpful staff? ✅ Excellent options for kid's meals? ✅

Am I gonna go back? Pregunta ridícula, of course I am! I don't even live in Spokane, but I've literally made plans so I can drive through 2x just to eat at Taqueria Guerrero... Im not happy that I've become one of those people who plans their trips around food, but I'm really excited about getting these...

Are you ready to embark on a culinary adventure like never before? Well then, let me tell you about the best Mexican food joint in the Spokane area - Taqueria Guerrero! Imagine four generations of culinary wisdom and care going into every meal, hand-crafted with love and care for their customers. The moment you step in, you'll feel like family, and it's not just the cozy atmosphere that'll win you over, but the warm and welcoming people that run the place.

Trust me when I say this, larger restaurants may offer a grand ambiance, but when it comes to the food, they often fall short. However, Taqueria Guerrero has mastered the art of dishing out mouth-watering delicacies, and their dishes are anything but mediocre. The best part? They offer a wide range of menu options to cater to everyone's taste buds. You'll be hooked from your first bite, and I guarantee that you won't be able to resist going back for more.

Oh, and did I mention their taco truck? (they do events also) During remodeling, they served hundreds of meals per day out of their taco truck, and let me tell you, the food was out of this world! The Adobada was definitely a standout dish, and their Mar Y Tierra Burrito was a pleasant surprise. You have to try their Shrimp cocktail too - it's fresh and authentic!

So, my friend, if you're seeking the best Mexican food in Eastern Washington / North Idaho, then look no further than Taqueria Guerrero! Don't pass Go, collect your wallet, and head straight to this culinary gem. Remember, the power over spice is power over all, and Taqueria Guerrero is indeed the top dog, the king of Mexican food in the area. Come and partake in the experience that is Taqueria Guerrero, and you won't be...

If you're craving authentic Mexican cuisine that bursts with flavor and warms the soul, look no further than this spot. The staff is friendly and welcoming, ready to guide you through a menu that celebrates traditional Mexican dishes with flair and freshness.

Start with their salsa bar—it's prepared fresh to order, with amazing salsa and just the right amount of options. Their tacos are a must-try, especially the carnitas, which are slow-cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, nestled in handmade corn tortillas. For something a little stellar, the enchiladas come smothered in a rich, flavorful sauce that pairs beautifully with the generous fillings.

And don’t skip the salsas i mementioned! The variety, from mild to spicy, brings an added layer of authenticity and flavor to every bite. If you're a seafood lover, the shrimp ceviche is another standout—light, citrusy, and incredibly refreshing.

Pair your meal with one of their tastybeverages, which are as bold and vibrant as the food, and you’ll feel like you’re dining on the coast of Mexico.

This place is a gem for anyone who loves Mexican food. The atmosphere, service, and quality of the dishes make it a place I’d wholeheartedly recommend. It’s a spot you’ll want to return to...
