We parked out Dodge Dakota near the Union Bank and Trust in the parking lot where Food Lion is located at 6:30 AM, so my husband could go right up the road to move a piece of heavy equipment. The truck was only going to be parked their for a short period of time and the manager of Food Lion came into work at 7:00 AM and called to have the truck towed. Keep in mind the truck was parked close the UBT and in no way was interfering with the Food Lion employees or patrons/customers. It cost $160.00 to get the truck back. Who does that? Do you know the towing company owners? Are you getting some kinda kick back fee for having vehicles towed? I would think your time would be better spent actually managing your store and employees! Read moreSo Food Lion's have gone through ups and downs, with a majority in the area being purchased by Weis after the Ahold-Delhaize merger (Giant and Food Lion) several years ago. They have recently remodeled all area Food Lions and the stores have never looked better. They are also stocking items they didnt have previously which is very nice.
This is great as the Thornburg area essentially only has Food Lion and it's nice that they've put money into making the store better, unlike Weis which has closed almost all the stores they acquired around here because of price points and they invested no money...
