Wanted to RV at the closest location possible to Weechi Wachee Springs State Park. So happy I came across this camp.
The campground keeper, Teresa, is on top of EVERYTHING and just so informative, funny, pleasant and courteous. She cracked us up when she said, "watch the roads, we are holy (holey) in more than one way" 😆
The RV campground prices are fair to boot!
They also have rustic cabin rentals and one can even rent the WHOLE 20 acre park out for their use.
We scored a great spot in the RV area, just steps away from the river.
Honestly the swimming was so much better here than at the actual park. In retrospect we should have stayed at camp instead of going to park. This camp has it all, the swimming area, a dock where kids and adults can jump off into the water, a hammock where one can relax next to the river, picnic tables next to the river, fire rings to cook over the fire or just enjoy a nice fire in the evenings.
The camp also has a playground, swings and a trail where we picked up fallen wood for our fire.
It was very very quiet and extremely relaxing.
Keep in mind that this is a Christian establishment therefore they request no drinking alcohol or drugs on grounds - so if this is your idea of a good times, find somewhere else to enjoy the river and respect the campground rules.
I can't wait to back again and bring more family with us, such...

Read moreWe take our motor home down every Christmas/New Year down to the warm fresh water springs. Kayak, airboat rides, golf, etc. We found this place had a “campground” and had water access. Well here’s where it begins…. Had bout 4-6 plug ins for campers, and if you got a 50amp service they want you to back up to a building and plug into it, then run water, sewer hose another 60ft the other way. Everything is kinda dated and got this cattle gate up that you have to get out and open/close every time you go or come. No cable or wifi. Facility I give 3 stars. But...
