split- mozzarella marinara, tomato caprese and the bruschetta. Portions are huge and even with splitting them we still brought home more than half of them. They were fresh and delicious and we both are obsessed with their bruschetta and get it every time. It’s a little different than other restaurants and the best way I can describe it is a garlic roll cut in half and topped with tomatoes, herbs and cheese. Highly recommend.
For dinner I got the rigatoni Susanna (pictured). I get this dish almost every time and it’s so good that people always want to eat some of mine. It’s probably atleast 3 portions worth of food and is fantastic. I’ve been eating at La Bella Napoli for atleast 8 years and this dish is always consistent. It tastes good reheated too.
My daughter got the dinner special for the chicken parmigiana so it comes with a smaller portion but still plenty of food. She liked the angel hair pasta and sauce but half the chicken piece was fat. Since it is a smaller portion she barely had much chicken. We didn’t address the issue because they were busy and we were full and she didn’t want to wait for them to cook her a new one. If we brought it to their attention I’m sure they would have fixed it.
Our server was Johnny and he was fantastic. He has a great personality and was super quick and attentive with everything. We didn’t have to wait for anything at all, he was on top of everything.
I have seen reviews that say they are overpriced. Our total with tax (not including tip) was $79.93. We got 3 appetizers, 2 dinners which both came with a salad and she got a drink + free rolls and oil. Each appetizer is 2-3 servings and my dinner is about the same. The dinner specials are one portion. You get what you pay for which is large portions and good, fresh quality food. I do not think it is expensive for what...

I have been to LA Bella Napoli many times over the years, both new and old locations, and was always very pleased. It was my choice for my father's day dinner but I doubt I'll ever be back.
We had reservations and were seated right away but had to wait 10 minutes before anyone even came to the table. Waitress came to the table and took all orders, this is where it really started to go downhill. We asked what the soup was and at 5:30 pm they had no soup. They had a limited menu and I wanted seafood but they had no shrimp, no flounder and no crab meat. Did I say it was 5:30 pm. I wanted to leave right then but I chose something else and figured I'd make the best of it. Then we had to move tables to make room for another party. Ordered a sangria and it was delivered to the table half empty. Why would a waitress deliver a drink like that? 45 minutes in we were given bread, at 50 minutes in we finally got our salads. Then finally the one appetizer and it was horrible, zero flavor at all. At an hour twenty finally entrées, they were good but seriously if you are an Italian restaurant and screw up chicken parm you should just close your doors. The waitress finally offered to refill my drink half way through dinner. Manager / owner never came over to the table to say anything. I am usually a very good tipper but only left 15% because the waitress wasn't very good nor attentive and the back of the house failed as well. This is a small place with maybe 12 tables at most and there were at least 4 waitresses so not over worked but our waitress couldn't seem to handle the 3 tables she had.
Guess I'll go a better Italian restaurant down 19 in New Port Richey. Sorry but you had many opportunities to make it right and didn't seem...
Read moreWe have been here 3 times. The first time there was a group of us for Valentines evening. We had called ahead a couple of weeks and we requested a reservation. We were told there would be no problem. We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation and was told “it would be a bit of a wait”. As we waited we were asked to move outside as the restaurant is very small and we were in the way of the wait staff. After 45 minutes we asked what the delay was. We were informed that there were people in the room we were supposed to be seated in who are still eating. We reminded the owner that is why we made reservations. We were finally seated after an hour past our reservation. The food was good. We went a 2nd time and had no problem. (An early week night) We went a 3rd (and last time) on Saturday evening, 03/30/2019, after making reservations. There were just 4 of us. We arrived before our reservation and still needed to wait. The dining room was packed and the wait staff was over worked. We were seated in the “party room”, where there was a party of 20 waiting to be served. 1 1/2 hours after our 7:30 reservation we received our meals. ( that would be 9:00pm their closing time). 2 of our party ordered the special, stuffed shrimp. The shrimp were very small and not stuffed. The filling was placed on top of the shrimp and very limited amount of shrimp. 1 of our party ordered shrimp fra Diavlo. The sauce was burnt and only a very limited amount of shrimp. Perhaps because of the hour the kitchen staff was in a rush to leave and the restaurant was out of ingredients to create the proper dishes. We shall not go there again. We should have gone to Papa Joes in Spring...
