What a wonderful experience! I originally went here in March for my wedding dress and found three that I liked which they set aside for me. After looking around at other bridal shops, I returned in June in the hopes of finding “the one”. This is my second wedding and I did not want the traditional white dress which surprisingly made it much more difficult for me to find the dress which would just feel right and make me feel like a bride. The lady (unfortunately I forgot her name) who helped me in March was great and when I went back in June, Sarah was just fantastic. In addition to the three dresses from March, Sarah pulled other dresses based upon what I was looking for in the hopes of finding that dress that was meant for me. And….. she did indeed find me that dress that had everything which I wanted. My family is out of state so it was just me who went here which was a little disappointing for me. I asked Sarah for her honest input since I had no one there to offer an opinion. Well, as I was debating between a couple of dresses she had pointed out that my face had lit up when I tried on, what ended up being, the one I bought in particular. When I mentioned that it was a little plain and in need of a little glitz, Sarah solved that problem for me too. I purchased a rhinestone decorative piece which I will have a seamstress attach for me. Although they don’t have a seamstress on site, they gave me a referral to one. I strongly recommend going to Formalities by Tracina. Their quality is superior by far to the local chain of David’s Bridals and their selection is also much more extensive. In addition, the staff at Formalities works with you one on one and really seems to sincerely want to help you find what you want. They are not looking to make a sale. They are looking to truly help you get what you will feel great wearing. It was a waste of my time to go to David’s Bridals where I looked at traditional dresses as well and assistance was limited, choices were truly limited and quality was rather cheap. When I bought my dress, I was thrilled to win a “free honeymoon” promotion that Formalities was offering in-partnership with Marketing Concepts. After filling out the paperwork and sending a check deposit, as requested, I worked with a representative to book an all-inclusive trip to Puerto Vallarta for $2,435.84, which I paid in full. Three days before leaving for our honeymoon, I had a bad feeling about the whole thing. This led me to calling the resort to confirm our reservation — which thank goodness I did — because we discovered that the whole trip was a scam and the travel agent had stolen our money. The representative not only stated this was a case of fraud, but admitted it had been happening for months to other clients from the company. This left us without our dream honeymoon and out $1,500 in nonrefundable airfare, on top of the money paid for the trip.

I notified Tracina Fisher, the owner of Formalities, in hopes of preventing this from happening to other brides. While she initially expressed sympathy and asked how she and Peter Hayes (the Marketing Concepts Representative) could help, their tone quickly changed. When I asked if their companies could help recoup the $1,500 we lost—considering this situation never would have occurred without their promotion—they became extremely rude and blamed me instead of taking accountability for putting their customer through this situation.

It’s devastating to lose our dream honeymoon to fraud and even worse to feel abandoned by the businesses we trusted. While we are dealing with this issue with both federal and state authorities, I strongly urge anyone considering this store or promotion to proceed with caution. Definitely recommend! Very personalized service . Shay was great for my MOB appt. I thought I knew what I wanted but wanted to try other styles on just to be sure I didn't miss something. She helped my daughter and I pick out so many beautiful dresses and was so patient while I tried them all on and tried to make a decision. I made a purchase and later that evening had terrible anxiety that I had chosen the wrong dress. I messaged the shop in hopes that they hadn't ordered it yet. Tracina, the owner called me the next morning and said I needed to get back into the shop because the MOB is important and I need to feel beautiful that day. When I arrived for my second appointment they had remembered my 3 top choices and already had them out for me to try on again. Jordan helped us and once she knew which one I was leaning towards she brought out a few more potential choices. I ended up going with my #2 dress from the first night (which should have been my #1).
