Important Warning Regarding Tamez Event Center

Do not contact or attempt to book an event with Tamez Event Center. If you already have an event scheduled, stop making payments immediately and take all reasonable steps to secure a refund.

We booked the venue through Maryangel Berenice Tamez in August 2024 for an event planned in December 2025, paying a $500 deposit. An additional $300 was paid in February 2025, totaling $800. While the initial communication was smooth, recent developments have raised serious concerns.

In early September 2025, I noticed a U-Haul and a generator powering the facility. Upon visiting the location, I found a notice from the landlord dated 09/05/25 posted on the door, indicating the business had been locked out due to non-payment.

Despite multiple attempts, the owner has not responded to calls or texts made to the official business number. It is completely unreasonable to expect clients to proceed under these circumstances.

At this point, I have no confidence that the venue will be operational for our scheduled event. Reviews from other clients have echoed similar concerns. While I would prefer to resolve this without legal action, if the owner of Tamez Group LLC fails to respond and issue a refund, I will pursue all available options,...

Update: I have received my deposit back I really appreciate Beraniz doing the right thing.

Do not book Tamez Event Center I booked and paid my deposit in January, my party was supposed to be in October there has been zero communication within the eight months. I noticed the restaurant next door was shut down so I texted Beraniz to confirm if everything was still okay with the hall. She immediately responded and said yes they did have to close the restaurant but everything with the hall was ok. Then I pass by the hall & see a generator outside so I texted Beraniz she never responded. I called her goes straight to voicemail I emailed her I even sent her a message on her personal Facebook page. So basically she just ghosted me and kept my deposit. We celebrated our son's first birthday here and it was the best party experience ever. The space is modern, clean, and with plenty of parking. The palapa outside provided the best space for a taquiza set up, as well as ample space for a bounce house. The restrooms are beautifully decorated, clean, and stocked with everything one might need or forget on a event day. It's the small details for me. The best part of it all was the staff. They made sure everything was taken care of and on site for any questions, need or concerns. The bartender was amazing and took care of our guest with joy and speed. We will definitely be using this space again. We loved our experience and will recommend this space to anyone...
