If I could give six stars I would. Not since the old Del Rio restaurant on Shepherd and N.Loop have I enjoyed a meal this good. To start the staff was friendly and attentive. The coffee has a hint of cinnamon in it ( totally unexpected),a delightful change of pace. The queso was truly different, white cheese with bell peppers, mushrooms, and onions it was really good. When our orders came out they were hot,and I do mean hot. Don't touch these plates unless you want to visit the burn unit at a hospital. Our food was delicious and definitely hot!!! If you come here come hungry, the portions are generous. The prices are very reasonable. I think the old saying is big things come in small packages, well that holds true at this restaurant. Its a small restaurant in a little strip center. We will be coming back. Maybe next time it will be for dinner. I can't wait to see what that's like GOOD JOB. 02/03/23 After our first two trips everything was great, but this time for some reason just didn't seem that great. I'm going to mark this one up as just okay. Maybe I wasn't feeling all that good after two doctors visits in one day. I'm sure they did their best, because the service is just great.

Went for the first time and our server was wonderful. The steak tacos were soooo good. I told my husband I’d come just for those tacos and ended up ordering two more and completely ignoring my original dinner of enchiladas which was also fabulous and my lunch for today, but those tacos got me in a choke hold. Amazing seasoning and flavor and hardly any fatty inedible pieces and at $2.75 each they really stuff them with meat. I will 100% be coming here anytime I’m wanting Mexican food. As the first Mexican restaurant I’ve been to since being away from Texas for 6 years it certainly is my new favorite. Here are my left overs and lunch for today still just as delicious. Portion sizes are great, my family of 4 ate and got an app and extras and spent under $60 so I’m happy with the prices as well

I recently visited this restaurant for breakfast and was disappointed with the overall experience. The breakfast buffet was not up to par, with food that was old, reheated, and tasteless—not fresh at all. The waitress was not very attentive and never refilled our coffee. Although they mentioned that we could order pancakes, waffles, or eggs, when we ordered eggs, they only brought out one plate for both of us. It looked to be the equivalent of just two scrambled eggs. Overall, the service and food quality were lacking. I expected much better for a breakfast outing.

I’ve always loved La Presa, but lately, the quality has gone downhill, I’m embarrassed for them—after the order I picked up yesterday. It feels like takeout orders are getting day before leftovers. The tiny bag of chips arrived so crushed they have to be eaten with a spoon (and I purchased extra chips on top of what came with the queso) the tortillas are rock hard, and the queso is disappointingly bland—more like melted American cheese with no spice or flavor. I waited 30 minutes after the time they quoted, and it still wasn’t ready when I got there, and there were maybe 4 tables full—so not crowded. I waited patiently for an additional 10 min for someone to acknowledge me, paid for the food :(was encouraged to tip—and did) and then checked my bag before leaving to realize I was missing items. Waited an additional 5 min before getting the missing items—then arrived home, finished preparing the carne asada for our dinner with guests, and was shocked to see the quality of the food from La Presa when it was actually time to eat. We ordered 5 pints of sides and a dozen tortillas, and ended up not being able to eat any of the tortillas and the chips and queso made for great jokes all night. Really hoping they turn things around, don’t think I’ll chance it again...

The guy that is bald (an older gentleman) is kind of a smart mouth. I asked him for another cup of water because literally a bug fell in and he told me yes but that I had to be careful and he said it in a very smart annoyed voice. I was upset the rest of the dinner but my family told me to let it go, we wouldn't just go back. It doesn't matter why I ask for something. I'm paying for the food and even tipping, so do NOT be rude to your costumers, for no reason.Their lengua is very good. Their salsa is good, their fish tacos are very flavorful as well. Their flan I think it is, it very good. When we first started going there, the girl who answered the phone or at the front when you got there, wasn't too knowledgeable and didn't even pay attention or look at you, when she would talk to you but I haven't seen her. She has long dark hair and is thin. I think she doesn't work there because now the staff is so nice when we call in orders, they are so kind and respectful. This is currently my favorite place at the moment. I want to try their weekend breakfast brunch. I know the price has gone up, but everything is going up anywhere. I would give it 4 starts but deducted one because of the...
