Fassnight Park — Local services in Springfield

We had a day to do activities and landed on this park to try out and omg , yall just have to go see for yourself. I didn't know this was hidden behind the school lol I've been by there so many times and just never thought to turn in , but it's like a little mini half castle with such a beautiful open yard space lol. Had walking trail, a little playground . You can even rent out the space, has plenty of picnic tables that is under a roof !! That's always a plus. I didn't see the bathrooms but my kids did say they needed maintenance, spiders and stuff .. pool is huge !!! Would love to take the kids there next summer maybe ! So pool, playground, trail, cute picnic spot , i mean ... what a great place to rent for family reunions, birthdays, special occasions!!! Will definitely...

The play equipment was nostalgic shall we say and minimal but classic fun. I liked that they were wide open spaces for running and playing.

However there was some pretty creepy people around the park sitting in their vehicle watching, circling the park with their cars, at one point someone started to film the playground. I don't know if it was just that particular day but it definitely did not leave a good taste...

This well maintained public green space is a quiet refuge to sit under one of the tall shading trees and relax. There's a bit of a creek that quiets the mind while gazing at it from the gentle bank. This park has never been crowded when I've visited, and I've never been bothered by others as I sought quiet solitude. A friendly nod, a cheerful hello, and people pass on enjoying their time walking here and there...
