Western New England University — Local services in Springfield

I've attended schools from Syracuse University to Holyoke Community College and AIC and STCC and Umass and no one can touch WNEU. AMAZING school. Insane involvement from faculty and staff. Career focused education. Professors that will challenge you NO MATTER who you are and what department you're in.

I majored in Electrical Engineering, but took courses outside of Sleith (the engineering college). I enrolled in Spanish courses, Math course and Chemistry, which are all outside of the Engineering umbrella. I was astounded by how ubiquitous WNE's focus on high standards is. I earned a 3.9 GPA and was challenged in every course. Nothing was easy, but nothing was impossible.

I highly recommend the university. Sure, rural Springfield is a bit of a let-down for things to do. The university does a great job of creating trips and events for students every weekend. Seize the opportunities and enjoy all that Western Mass has to offer. WNE is a great school for anyone looking to earn an education and secure a career by working hard and being focused on a brighter tomorrow.

I feel disappointed in this university. Over the years, they removed helpful features and offices for support and replaced them with little gimmicks like salad vending machines and food...
