One star is to many. Our first 5 year contract with Marco was fine, the second 5 year contract was a nightmare. The sales rep did the contract totally wrong after I specifically confirmed him the new contract was the same as the last. After 2 years I find out the contract wasn't written correctly when it comes to the 'property tax' payment. It took me tons of emails and phone calls to finally get it cleared up. The last 3 years however, were NEVER cleared up. I sent numerous emails and wrote notes on the invoices asking for someone to reach out to me so I could get the invoices cleared up. All I received was one person saying he was sorry he was out of time but would reach out to me the following week, that NEVER happened. A few months before our contract was due, the original salesman reached out to me requesting a meeting, I told him I wasn't interested in working with him and I wanted a termination letter sent to me because we weren't going to renew with Marco. Guess what I never received? The termination letter never came and Marco did an automatic renew claiming they never heard anything from us. A few months later a new salesman reached out to me wanting to see if he could 'make things right'. I was willing to take a look at things and keep an open mind. I also found out we paid way more in overage charges than we were supposed to. When we were almost to the end of our talks, Marco would not pick up the property tax portion of the bill so I told them I was going to talk to some other providers. Apparently they didn't like that because now everything they were doing to try and 'make things right' had a condition..........we needed to renew a contract with them again! Now they expect us to either buy out or return a copier we've been paying 5 years on because of an auto renew that shouldn't have taken place. I have since reached out to someone different, we'll see if they can find the time to respond. I'm not holding my breath. I have to say, the best thing about Marco was our service technician! He was always quick and knew what he was doing.
EDIT in response to Marco reply5/29/25 Fortunately the person I called took the time to return my call. We had a great conversation and were able to come to an agreement we were both happy with. He allowed me to vent my frustrations and apologized for the issues I had. The salesman who caused most of the issues is no longer employed there and I've spoken to the new salesman who appears to be honest and doesn't hide any charges. I'm happy we were happy to continue our partnership. I've adjusted the stars from 1 to 3. If the next 5 years goes good I'll adjust...
Read moreUpdate 9/13: Previously had some serious issues with a Marco branch in Owatonna, MN. We worked with people from other branches and corporate office to address are correct the problems. It took a while but Marco has stepped up to make things right. While I am looking forward to working with Marco on future projects, I will not be doing so with any of the people in our local office. The help we have received from Mankato and Rochester has been pretty decent. Details of problems (hardware, software and billing) removed as they have been resolved. Read moreNot a very trustworthy company. The representative stopped by and stated he was pushed for time. I just need to sign papers for the service. He came in and had me sign a paper with address for shreding. I am a small company and do not have a lot of papers to shred. I was not given any information of what I signed. They kept coming and I had nothing to shred. They sent me an invoice with monthly payments and told me I could buy myself out of contract for over 300, dollars. I was not aware I was in a contract.
