Chef Dave STL — Local services in St. Louis

Chef Dave agreed to cater Sisters' Weekend, an event I was planning in Virginia, far from my hometown of St. Louis. Because I was out of town, I only had a recommendation, the online reviews and his word. But, that is all you need when using Chef Dave's services. I guess you can arrange some face-to-face meeting or food tastings, but it isn't necessary. He did what he said he was going to do! From begin to end, he was professional and timely. The day of the event, he was scheduled to be there at 5:00 pm. At 5:00 pm, he rang the doorbell, exchanged pleasantries, set the food up and was gone as quickly as he came. I ordered baked chicken, fettuccine with chicken and broccoli, turkey lasagna, sauteed green beans, garden salad and turkey/roast beef sliders. I come from a cooking family - all of my sisters can cook - so we had high expectations from the professional. He did not disappoint. Everything was delicious and hot! The pastas and green beans were an absolute 10 out of 10! If I could give any advice, I would recommend homemade salad dressing to really elevate the brand. Other than that, I'd definitely hire Chef Dave again. In fact, I hope to see him in 2 years when my husband and I celebrate 30 years...

I would HIGHLY recommend hiring Chef Dave for any of your catering or private dining needs. I planned a surprise Valentine's Day dinner and with Chef Dave's expertise and professionalism I was able to pull of an amazing night. His communication with me during the planning process was prompt and clear. He answered all of my questions and was great to work with. He is an AMAZING chef and pictures do not do his work justice. This was one of the best steak meals that we have had in St. Louis. I would recommend working with him on just how good his food was alone! I would like to also add my appreciation for the little things he did to go above and beyond to make this dinner special for us. When you are looking for a private chef you want someone who is not only a professional and excellent chef but also someone who prioritizes the experience of the people they are serving. With Chef Dave you will get all of that! We will be working with him again...

If I could give Chef Dave more than 5 stars I absolutely would! This was my first private chef experience, and thus, my first engagement with Chef Dave but it will not be the last. Not only was the food BANGING but the service he provided was top notch all day long. Professional... check! On time... check! White glove/don't have to lift a finger because he brings all utensils, food, seasonings, serving-ware... check! Left the kitchen spotless... check! Good food...check, check! Chef Dave paid attention to the small details and made extra investments of time and effort that had a huge impact on me and my husband's anniversary celebration. Don't hesitate and don't waste your time scrolling and searching for other private chefs....
