SoundWaters Kayak & Paddle Board — Local services in Stamford

I went on Memorial Day to paddle board with my boyfriend. We had made a reservation online and prepaid. Upon arrival, it took a while for the young woman to even acknowledge us. After she finally did, she just said grab a life jacket and get a paddle board. It turned out that there was only 1 paddle board. Instead of apologizing or offering alternative solutions, the young woman basically said the other people hadn't returned and that we could wait. I started asking my boyfriend what we should do and whether we should get our money back or just kayak. Clearly the young woman wasn't happy that we were annoyed that there weren't paddle boards available and started speaking loudly to the other woman there about how there was nothing that could be done and they couldn't control other people's time limits. Theoretically the business could make sure they have extra equipment available so that's not really true. And instead of being nice about it or helpful, the young woman just had an attitude about the whole thing. It wasn't worth me ruining my day so we went kayaking. The young men that helped were great and super sweet. The 3 stars is really only because of the attitude of this woman, otherwise, it's fine. But I'd rather frequent businesses where the staff care about the customers. By the way, when we were refunded for the difference, it didn't include the refund in sales tax either. It wasn't a lot of money, but that's an operational issue that should be remedied - also because the business is retaining money for taxes that it shouldn't...
