Had a terrible customer service experience with carpet installation, would never recommend anyone using Millard’s. They do not care about their customers and are very poorly managed. I went in and picked out carpet for my daughter’s nursery and our guest bedroom with Scott (owner). I paid for the carpet and scheduled a date for installation. Scott then called me after the fact and told me I owed $163 more because he miscalculated the price. I was told the person installing the carpet would bring an invoice. A couple of weeks later, on installation day, no one showed up. I called and spoke to Scott and he said, “What rooms were you hoping to get done today?” Uh..the rooms I scheduled and paid for? Scott admitted he somehow overlooked my name on the schedule (which he personally wrote in, large lettering) and had sent the guy to another job. Okay..mistakes happen I guess. We rescheduled for another date. Scott calls me the morning of to tell me the guy is going to be an hour earlier than I was previously told AND there isn’t enough carpet to do the nursery - even though I already PAID for this carpet and gave measurements for the rooms. Scott was very nonchalant about the situation and gave very minimal apology for the outrageous situation. He tells me he’s sending me a different carpet he thinks is similar. The carpet looked absolutely NOTHING like the carpet I picked out. So I sent the guy away and went back to Millard’s to discuss the matter with Scott directly. I went in the back to look for a possible replacement carpet only to find they do, in fact, have the IDENTICAL carpet I’d picked out for my nursery, just slightly thicker. So I’m sitting there wondering why the heck I’ve had to drive back there again and wait weeks and weeks to have my nursery carpeting installed when I’m nine months pregnant and Scott has the mind to send some random hideous carpet to my house instead of the same carpet I already paid for. Again, we schedule the carpet installation (third attempt). Carpet was installed and the gentleman was wonderful and did an amazing job. Then we get a bill in the mail weeks after the fact for $163 with a handwritten note that says, “balance due in full!” Like we were somehow shirking our financial responsibility? for everything we went through just to get this completed, I would have gone somewhere else, to a small business that actually cares about their customers and knows what they are doing. I contacted Electrolux, the provided me with Millard's Furniture & Appliance as an authorized repair place and told me to contact them to schedule service. Washer broke 1/3/2020. I contacted Millard's the same day around 1:00PM. I was asked if I purchased the appliance at Millard's and told them no. Explained what was wrong, told them Electrolux gave me their number for service for the machine. The woman proceeded to set up an appointment for today, 1/7/2020 for the AM. I received a call, this morning, 1/7/2020, from a woman, to inform me that they are only a "self service repair place" and when I asked what that means they replied "we only service what we sell". They couldn't tell me this 4 days ago when I made the appointment?! They couldn't call me back the same day and tell me this? I inquired as to why they waited 4 days to tell me this and I recieved the response "well the paperwork just came across my desk". I have wet clothes stuck in a front load washing machine, that now will not be taken out for 4 more days because of the incompidence of their employees not knowing that they do not provide warranty work on appliances they didn"t sell! Train your staff! They could have called back the same day instead of waiting 4 days later. Read moreIf possible, I would give 0 stars. I cannot express how disappointed we are in this store. They were so highly recommended to us by several friends. Our fridge broke so we needed to go get a new one. They agreed to deliver one. The delivery people were unfriendly...to say the least. The fridge did not fit (by mere millimeters). Rather than take it back to the garage or something, they left it in the kitchen and told me I would need to "figure it out". I was alone at the time with 7 kids, one of whom was an infant foster baby. Literally in tears I called my husband as our old fridge was now outside and a new one blocking the entrance to our kitchen I could not even open. We found a person to make the small adjustment and get the fridge in all the way the next day. He was appalled they had left it like that. Once in place, we learned they had not sent a filter for it or the wires needed for the water/ice. We called and they said we could order them. But it stated it came with it. We had to drive back out there and yes, they found the items that should have been in our box. To top it off, this fridge which was well over $1500 is not holding up at all. Yes it gets heavy use, but I have never had one go downhill this quickly. I would not recommend this place or their service.
